About
Passing under shady Federation verandas and well preserved shop fronts, the Lockhart Sculpture and Heritage Trail takes you on an artistic journey through the town centre, revealing the incredible collection of high quality farm art sculptures on permanent display. Many of the beautiful sculptures are award winning National Farm Art pieces from Lockhart's Spirit of the Land Festival, a celebration to the resilience of those who live and work on the land. Created from recycled farm materials and reflecting the natural elements of the land, first time visitors to the town are amazed at the talent of the sculptures, which far exceeds their expectations.

Just travelling around area and came across Lockhart, very nice town very neat unfortunately it was a Sunday and everything is closed in most of these country towns, a town of verandas looks good. I answered not sure to below questions due to only seeing main street and the metal sculptures

Portraits of famous people eg Bob Hawke, Evonne Goolagong, Greg Norman etc done with wool fibres by a local lady. The wool is sourced for its natural colour, washed and combed and made into large portraits. The building is a new one alongside the old one which houses old wares etc.
The sculptures in the town and at farm gates are made out of old machinery and rusted bits and pieces. Quite amazing.

Following Lockhart’s sculpture trail, and finding some that may not be on the map, is a fun way to spend time in this picturesque small town.

I saw a few of them before finding out there was a trail. Some very impressive metal sculptures all around the town. There's a great dragon on the road to The Rock.

I've been here 3 times now I think. I stumbled through here on my way home from Mudgee once so didn't see much, came another day and saw some more, this time we found more of them yet again. They all mostly look they have been upcycled recycled from metal material which if course is the aim I believe. You need to go see for yourself.

Is there a map which shows where all the metal art is in the town
Written 7 October 2019
I believe there isn't, coming from Wagga the first thing you should see is a huge kangaroo and emu on your right, then there's a park also in your right with a few items, there is where you might find your map of them if you're going to. We just drove around town. The watertower and park are not hard to find, make sure you drive around s few streets, I discover more each time I go. Dragons, roos, globe etc, down the main Street, turn left for the public toilets and make a few discoveries if your own. Enjoy
