About
In2surf Surf School is about learning to surf in a Fun, Safe and Educating environment. We love teaching people to surf, that's our passion. But as well, we feel that it is our duty to educate people about the ocean, environment and water safety. When you take a lesson with us you will learn about the proper technique using your equipment safely and efficiently, how to catch and ride waves, water safety, and importantly how to do all this in a user friendly, low impact, low anxiety entry level lesson. We also cater to higher level learners, intermediate and advanced levels. Whatever your age or experience level, we will teach you to surf with some of the best instructors in the business.Lessons ran at Kingscliff, Cabarita Beach and Hastings Point

Best fun all holiday. Great family bonding session. We're all still smiling and laughing 24 hours later. Tom the instructor was excellent and gave us older people the encouragement and confidence. Would highly recommend everyone having a go at this.

Josh was great - spent heaps time helping first-timers in difficult surf conditions. It's easy to book and everything is provided. Had fun!

This guy doesn’t care about anyone else on the beach sets his class up in front and around closely to people on the beach and asked us to move out of the way, absolutely disgusting.

We are very sorry to have upset you and would have loved if you had come and talked to us at the time about how you felt. Both myself and any of the staff do not remember the day you have mentioned, however we do know that during the 2-week period just after Christmas it can be extremely busy there when the weather is good. We all have to share the space. We are a business that runs all year long at that location and although it may not have felt it at the time, we make it a priority to make sure we are being considerate of the other beach users. We live and work in the community and care about it and the people who live here and support us. The tourism trade at that time of year is essential to our survival as a business. There are no lifeguards at that location and although we are not the authority on the beach there, we communicate with the closest SLSC and Australian professional lifeguards on duty further up the beach. When we are operating, we somewhat assume a responsibility for the overall safety of the beach users in that area. At times we need to ask people for some room so we are able to operate the lessons safely.

This school and team, from the owner to the coaches and helpers, are top notch!! Appreciated the extra attention given to our 8 year old and appreciated the experience, patience, guidance, and overall attitude and professionalism from this great team! Took the family of four (8/15/40+ :) and, 50 yr olds) and everyone had a fantastic experience! Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience unforgettable!

Our sons, 13 and 11, thoroughly enjoyed their 2 hour surf lesson with Sally. She had a lovely nature, explained things really well and was so encouraging. We made a booking the day before and were fortunate that our kids were the only one in he lesson- very personalised tuition. 2 hours is the perfect duration for beginners- they were exhausted (but very happy though!) at the end. So nice to witness them both getting up on the boards and seeing them so pleased with their achievements. Would highly recommend In2surf if you are on Kingscliff. Great value.

Our two sons enjoyed a fun group class with in2surf. Great training and great value. Booked a few days ahead for a Saturday morning, but the boys were the only ones in the group, so got lots of attention.

Most of our classes are low density, If your looking to get away from the busy lessons on the Gold Coast and get some quality lessons with experts that come down to the Tweed and spend some quality time with us. (Christmas holiday can fill up a bit and be a bit busy however we still focus on quality instruction for everyone)

We just had the most amazing 1st week of school holidays attending Surf Groms with In2surf @ Kingscliff.
My 2 boys aged 8 and almost 11 came out of the surf everyday so pumped with their efforts.
The coaches Belen, Jo , Gracie and Audrey were all amazing - full of encouragement letting the kids reach their full potential in just 1 week.
We also made some beautiful new friends - who shared the same passion so that was an added bonus

This is our second year with in2surf. Jo and Bilan are awesome. All levels of expertise appear to be catered for well. My kids have a blast. Surf safety is also taught.

As frequent visitors to Kingscliff we decided we wanted to do something exciting and different for our family vacation - so we decided to try surfing. We did some internet research about local surf companies, and also got some recommendations from locals. It didn't take long for us to settle on In2Surf.
We booked several back to back sessions over a few days just for our family of five, and it was wonderful. With varying levels of skill and coordinations across our family of five I was concerned it might not work out, but Josh's ability to give each of us what we needed to advance our individual progress and hit individual milestones of success was impressive.
It was not until we mentioned to a local that we were taking the classes (I think in a conversation where I was complaining about my chest/push up to standing muscles that they told me that Josh was one of the stars of the surf documentary 'Isolated' directed by Ryan Phillipe. It was very cool to watch and know that we'd had lessons from Joel.
I highly recommend. Both he surf school and the documentary.

Josh and his team are wonderful. Tom and Tether are great coaches. Both our kids have attended surf groms and now our youngest is ready to do some coaching with more advanced group. Not only learning the skills to surf but so importantly the safety aspect. So much more confident with the kids living at the beach after what they have learnt at in2surf.
