It is a nice out-and=back drive to Tallowa Dam through scenic countryside. Plenty of lovely views and a good picnic area at the dam itself. The dam itself provides for some interesting water infrastructure.

Well worth a visit, picturesque. Great spot for fishing, kayaking, canoeing or just wanting a spot for a picnic. Barbecue areas available and so peaceful

This is a great spot, be sure you dont mind your car getting dirty as this can be a bit of a rough road, not exactly 4wd terrain but in our sedan it was quiet bumpy. Worth it though as the dam is beautiful, great spot for a family picnic, there are loo's but that about all. The local safari groups come down here as the kayaking is wonderful.

Absolutely beautiful spot for fishing and swimming. Spent the day there yesterday. Took a picnic, public toilets were clean and shaded areas to fish. Goanna’s walking around gave the kids plenty of excitement. Wish we hired a canoe but will do this next time. No phone reception though.

Breath taking. Been coming to Kangaroo Valley for many years and only just come out to Tallowa Dam.
Well worth the trip. Hire a canoe or bring your own. Feels like your in a different world.
No phone reception but clean public toilets.

Visited Tallowa Dam, just a short 20min drive from Kangaroo Valley, lovely picnic grounds with facilities.
Interesting facts about the Dam and went for a quick walk to view, wonderful peaceful outlook and area.
Worth a visit.

Visited in a cold overcast day but would be lovely if the weather was favourable. Picnic and toilet facilities and fishing permitted. Interesting mechanism on the dam wall to lift native fish over the wall.

I spotted this dam out of the car window,it went on for miles and miles, looked on the sat nav and there it was,the water was sparkling in the afternoon sun.

Weekend getaway went for a drive out to Tallowa Dam about 30mjns from Kangaroo Valley. Worth a visit beautiful scenery with the sheer mountains to the water.
