Having scoured the internet for a Horseride experience for my daughter and myself, I booked Kangaroo Valley Horseride. We stayed a night on site to be up the next morning for our 2 hr ride. What I wanted was more than just a trail ride but an immersion. Geoff didn’t disappoint. We were given clear instructions and guidance on how to interact with the horses and all life on the farm, ultimately how to respect all the animals and stay safe. We were also privileged to witness Geoff and Gails obvious love for their life and the horses they care for. Our ride up the mountain was peppered with information on not only how to ride but why. We also learnt a lot about the trees and local bush land. My experience with organized trail rides is vast. This has been by far the best and most memorable. We will be back.

My friend and I, who have next to no experience riding horses, had a great time on the trail ride up into the bushland. The ride was a slower paced walk which was great for viewing the scenery. Geoff had a wealth of knowledge to ensure we knew how to approach the horses safely and enjoy the ride thoroughly. You could tell straight away he loved and cared for his horses and has trained them well.

Had a great time with Geoff and Gail yesterday on the afternoon session. It was interesting to learn how the horses behave and we felt very safe in Geoff’s experienced hands. The route up the mountainside the horses navigated was quite adventurous but fun terrain. Would highly recommend!

What an amazing morning spent with Geoff and Gail, what amazing people! So genuine and so devoted to their animals. An experience not to be missed! Would happily not of left! The views on that ride no photo could ever do justice. This ride will really ground you and blow you out of the saddle! I will carry these memories in my heart always. Thankyou for a lovely day ! Beautiful well-kept, happy, calm horses, the Man from Kangaroo Valley has a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area. Enjoy the ride up to the top of the mountains and wonder at the views across the valley.

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and can highly recommend this to anyone. Both of us have never done anything close to horse riding before this experience, but Geoff, Gail and the horses took really good care of us. The first 30 minutes is all about safety and getting ready, something which made us feel more comfortable, the next 2 hours you are enjoying kangaroo valley in a way you wouldn’t do normally! Again I can recommend it!

Definitely not like other trail rides in that you’re rarely on a flat surface! The instructor was very interesting and I felt very safe getting on Rocky (the horse). Some of the areas are very steep and if it’s your first time riding you may get a little scared. Just so much fun though I will definitely be back!!

Cowra is a pleasant town. Beautiful scenery. We stayed at Breakout Motel which was brilliant. Clean spacious rooms. Great service and very comfortable. Highly recommended. Trees were beautiful with their Autumn leaves. A trip to the Cowra Breakout site was interesting and the Japanese Gardens spectacular. They have done a wonderful job to preserve history in such a positive and stunning way. We had dinner at the RSL. Great meal. Everyone in Cowra was friendly and helpful. Take a drive out to a great country town.
