We were travelling in Kangaroo valley and found this winery on Google. The owners are so friendly and we felt very welcome to their place. It worths taking a bit of drive get there.

Loved it here! Beautiful spot that is out of the way. It's run by nice people and the wine was great.

Myself and my friend visited this lovely winery,
$5 cover charge for a wine tasting, included all wines, so much do that the driver had to be careful which wines to taste!!
Could’ve had a cheese board for another 5pp, didn’t feel like a snack but the cheese boards we saw cone out for others looked generous in size
The views are amazing around here too
Would definitely recommend on a trip to the kangaroo valley region

My wife, daughter and I visited this establishment after a day out touring the kangaroo valley region.

The drive to the estate is beautiful and had that real country feel. The wine tasting area is outdoors overlooking the rolling meadows and pond.

The wines were good and the owners welcoming. The cheese platter was decent. The only room for improvement that I'd recommend is for the owners to perhaps say a little about the wines or maybe leave some tasting notes on the table. However they were busy with lots of people arriving so maybe that impacted on them spending some time explaining the wines.

I definitely recommend the caberet-shiraz and Verdelho. Lovely boutique vineyard that you should definitely visit if you find yourself in the kangaroo valley.

Yarrawa Estate is an out-of-the-way winery located in the Upper Kangaroo River, just out of Kangaroo Valley. It is not easy to find because the Progress Association of the Upper Kangaroo River denies Mark and Sue (proprietors of Yarrawa) the right to advertise with signs along the way and, as it is a little remote, it can be difficult to locate, although there is a sign at the bottom of Scotts Road. However, GPS helped us and we arrived.

The effort of the adventure is worth the trip from Kangaroo Valley when you drive up Scotts Road and then down into Yarrawa Estate. The outlook is country at its best with a beautiful little dam just below the road glistening in relection of the skies.

Mark and Sue have established this winery over many years and it has well established wines and ports of a really good quality.

We arrived on a windy wintery day in August 2018 but there was sunshine and we sat outside with our jackets on ... and it was delightful. The kids ran around and we enjoyed the hospitality. And we were also joined by Muscat and Jack, their beautiful and friendly golden labradors. The kids loved these wonderful dogs.

Sue advised that there is a cover charge of $5 per person for wine tasting, but this included every single wine on the menu. There were sufficient wines that the drivers had to be careful with their choices (not too many). And had we decided, we could also have had cheese platter tastings for another $5 per person. We weren't peckish, but I have heard that these are quite generous and tasty.

It was a really good outing for the whole family and a taste of a different style of winery ... not so much business and more like meeting old country friends.

We loved the place and recommend it to anyone wanting a different type of winery but of high quality wines.
