About
Hyams beach is a long beach with spectacular white sand located in Jervis Bay. The best way to get there is to take the White Sands Walk from Greenfield Beach or Vincentia, that way you get to enjoy more than one of Jervis Bay’s spectacular white sand beaches.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had long drive from Sydney, the beach was terrific so clean and quiet at there. You don’t need to worry about being crowded. Hyams beach is very clean. Makes people feel relaxed, we can just lay down for whole arvo. It’s really nice beach to visit !

We stayed at Hideaway 7B Deakin St Wrights Beach which is located 5 minutes from Hyams Beach . This was without a doubt the best stay we have had on the South Coast . The location is fantastic and the unit, which you can access on Airbnb, was absolutely breathe taking. The hosts Connie and Mack were so helpful and friendly and the 2 bedroom apartment which sleeps 5 was so clean and inviting. There’s an outdoor BBQ area for your enjoyment and a stunning pergola out the front for you to relax and unwind.
Every morning the kangaroos gather out the front for Mack to feed and beautiful birds gather as well.
I would highly recommend this as your next holiday stay.

Hyams Beach is very well known and as a result very popular. On our visit, the beach was so crowded traffic control people were turning cars away at 11am.

We returned at 300pm. Still very crowded luckily we found a parking spot.

Lovely little beach. But it’s very small.

Absolutely beautiful, as advertised you will find blue waters and white sandy beaches. It has a cafe and bathrooms close by which is great.

Although we loved it, we opted to spend our time at chinamans beach which we found quieter and more spacious.

Absolutely beautiful. White sands. Clear blue water. Pictures on the internet do not hype it up. Exactly as it seems. Gorgeous part of the world. We were lucky. Not as busy as I’ve read probably because we are now in Autumn. Water was cold when you first entered but then was comfortable once in. Rocks to explore and gorgeous scenery. May have given a 5 star review because it is a very beautiful part of the world however I highly recommend Murray’s beach. Just as beautiful. Even less people. Stunning. I think either way you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely crazy for parking here even late on a Saturday when the sun had gone in. Luckily they have traffic control measures and staff on hand, although couldn't help but feel sorry for the locals who live there with all that every day. The beach itself was lovely even on a grey day, we enjoyed a stroll down it and even though it was a tad windy lots of people were still making the most of it.

Not far away from Sydney, just 3 hours by car, this beach is unreal.
White sand with torquoise water.
Very quite and relaxing place.
For who are just visiting Sydney, should definitely come here in a day trip.

Great for snorkling! I went with the woebegone expedition. Now that I have gone in a group I will definitely go again. Beautiful bull sharks, sea urchins and a giant blue fish. Such an amazing experience.

Absolutely stunning beach. We spent the day enjoying the waves, building sandcastles and going for walks. We have children aged 6, 8 and 10. We could have spent the entire day here but had to leave due to a change in the weather. Go early so you get the place to yourself.

WOW!

Decided to rent a car and travel down from Sydney. It took a couple of hours but oh my it was definitely worth it! The whitest sand and the most beautiful crystal clear blue water. Absolutely stunning. Well worth a visit.
