Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our recent holiday at Currarong was made even more enjoyable when we took the Husky Ferry trip from Myola to Huskisson. Captain Dave provided detailed instructions to locate the wharf. We boarded the ferry and Dave promptly handed over the wheel to our eldest grandson, then to both of his younger siblings who all thoroughly loved the experience of steering between the many anchored vessels and finally, safely berthing the ferry at Huskisson.. Of course the treat was repeated again on our return to Myola. Our grand children were thrilled!!

What a lovely friendly fellow.

Many thanks Dave.

Captain Dave was fabulous! Ferry ride was very pretty. Great way to get to Huskisson easily.
The short wait time was easy to fill in looking at the fish and rays in the creek.
Kids even got to drive the ferry!
Reasonably priced.

The Husky Ferry is a great service running from Myola to Huskisson (normally during school holidays). Captain Dave makes the short trip fun for kids and adults. Highly recommend the service.

This wonderful service is well worth checking out. Captain Dave takes you in a short trip across the water from one beach to the big town, affectionately known as Husky.
Anyone traveling Australia’s Eastern coastline will be familiar with the times you have to take a big drive back into the mainland to avoid the creeks and waterways. Always a shame when it would be a beautiful five to ten minutes as the crow flies.
Anyway, Captain David and the Husky Ferry provide a faster and much more scenic option.
The ferry runs regularly back and forth and is probably the most affordable way to enjoy a beautiful coastline sight seeing trip for ten minutes or so.
Dave is a good chat and great with your little ones. He’s also really flexible - if it’s busy, he’ll just keep going back and forth so no one misses out, even when the timetable says hourly! He’ll also provide a private sight seeing cruise for your family or small group and apparently the evening sunset cruise is amazing ❤️
Check it out ❤️

What a great way to get from Callala Beach near Nowra to Huskisson via Myola. 8 of us including grandkids (all under 12) and the adults had a great outing to have lunch at Huskisson as part of our holiday. Recommend this to anyone. Saw birds, stingrays, paddle boarders and more on the way there and back. Captain Dave was engaging and made the two-way trip fun for us all, but especially for the kids who loved every minute of their trip. Thanks Dave, we will recommend your ferry service to any of our friends who are headed your way!

We were a group of 4 couples who have been enjoying an annual camping trip to Jervis Bay for quite some time. We missed visiting the last 2 years. It was great to be back! We decided to try something different - the Sunset Cruise up Currambene Creek on the Husky ferry. It was a beautiful warm night and we enjoyed learning about the local ecosystem whilst sipping our wine and nibbling our goodies. Captain Dave was a great host & we enjoyed a great sunset over the mirror calm water. We were also treated to a full moon over the water as we disembarked. Most enjoyable and recommended.

Expected to catch a ferry from Husskison to Myola to take the kids on a beach walk. Captain Dave who has run the ferry for 9 years made it a special trip: he organised to pick us up on a beach downstream from the jetty, allowed each of our kids (and other kids onboard) to steer the boat and took us to an amazing stingray sight seeing stop a few minutes up river. Ticket fee is beyond reasonable and he insisted we buy the kids ice cream rather than accept a tip. Dave is a true gem, the kind of person who makes a holiday memorable.

We rode the ferry 4 times today, deciding against driving because it is so much nicer to be on the water with Captain Dave. He goes above and beyond to provide a great experience. He took us a bit further up the river to see some marine life, pointed out luminescence in the water at night and even let our son be the captain.

Ahoy benv Thank you very much for your review, the bioluminescence in the creek is a very special occurrence, so happy to share it with you. See you next time. Cheers Capt Dave
