Bart and Ryan were really fantastic guides, very welcoming and a lot of fun! We had a magic time exploring the beautiful coastline complete with a delicious morning tea and a swim in the sea at one of the stunning beaches. The equipment and instructions were top notch and we learnt so much local information about the area (including a great spot for lunch afterwards!).
We highly recommend this company and look forward to coming again on our next visit back to Australia.

We had a lovely time out on the double kayaks for a team-building/fun activity. A really gorgeous location paddling along the creek before we stopped for some fun racing activities that brought out the competitive side of us all. Thanks to Ryan and Bart for a beautiful morning paddle.

My partner Tim and I thoroughly enjoyed our kayaking experience with Jervis Bay Kayak and Paddlesports Co.! We had a "Guided Sea Kayak Adventure" - a 4-hour breathtaking experience in kayaking up to the beautiful Murray beach. Bart was super knowledgeable about the area including the zoning, animals, and of course the beaches and all things kayaking! He took photos of us along the way, and was great in guiding my un-coordinated self to get in the rhythm of kayaking haha! It was so nice to have coffee and snacks at Murray beach in the middle, and we were lucky enough to see some dolphins at the end! Couldn't recommend this kayaking tour more :)

We hired 2 stand up paddle boards from Jarvis Bay Kayak and Paddlesports and Co in the April school holidays.
The service was fantastic.
The booking system was easy to use and the communication excellent.
The weather wasn’t very good during the time we had them and they offered us an extension so we could make the most of the boards.
Stand up Paddle boarding in Jervis Bay was just beautiful and I would highly recommend giving it a go.

I had a great experience from the time of booking through to the actual kayak tour. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Terry in particular was a great guide. He is so knowledgeable about the area and it was great to hear some interesting facts and information along the way.
Seeing large, majestic stingrays was a highlight. This tour is definitely recommended when you're visiting the Jervis Bay area.

Friends and I booked a 2-hour tour with Jervis Bay Kayak & Paddlesports Co. There were 15 of us in the group and Jervis Bay Kayak & Paddlesports Co helped carve out a specific time for us which we could book to. Through the whole experience they were very accommodating and friendly.
The guides were exceptionally knowledgeable about the Jervis Bay area and local wildlife. The group felt safe and looked after the whole time. The 2-hour tour was good for beginners.
Kayaks and gear are well looked after and maintained. Life jackets are provided and mandatory (non-optional legal requirement). Guides were able to provide dry bags for some of our group so we could carry car keys, phones, cameras etc. Guides were also happy for us to leave personal items in their company van.
Thank you Jervis Bay Kayak & Paddlesports Co for such a great experience.

Bart is a highly skilled 'A' class instructor who is able to articulate theory and technical knowledge in a way that has you put it all into practice by the time your lesson is finished.
I had a two hour private lesson with Bart and this has transformed my paddling technique into next level! I recommend him to even the most elite athlete. I can assure you Bart will pick up the smallest technique error and teach you how to rectify it breaking it all down into steps. An awesome experience. I will be back!

The guided kayak tour of the mangroves was fantastic, largely due to the pristine water, the superb weather, and the guide, Terry, who was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable about the local environment, history, and wildlife. After showing us how to sit in a kayak and not fall out, Terry launched us into the mangrove area, explaining along the way the importance of mangrove habitat and why the sand was so white. The paddling up the channel was nice and relaxed. Stopped to spot some stingrays, but they weren't forthcoming - never mind! We would highly recommend this kayaking experience. Staff at the shop were great, too, identifying the best locations to go snorkelling. We'll be back!

Please can you advise me how much it costs to do the trip to see the mango groves on kayaks. Possibly an option for a Birthday trip with teenage boys (5 boys 14/15 yrs) and husband and myself)?

Hi Julie,
This trip is $59 per person. We would be happy to do it as a private booking, with no other participants if you like.
Many Thanks,
Sarah
How long does it take to kayak to Hyam’s beach?
TeamJBK
Huskisson, Australia3 contributions
Hi, kayaking time from Huskisson to Hyams Beach varies depending on the type of craft you are using. We do not recommend doing it in a sit on top kayak, particularly with the strong North Easterly winds we are currently experiencing. In a sea kayak of 16-18' it will take approx. 1 1/2 hours, depending on weather conditions and paddler. Cheers!
