Inside the Observatory you can look around free of charge or pay for a tour. Opted to look around, the telescope is very 'wow',... More

Science plays a back seat position in Australia in the national consciousness but Siding Springs demonstrates the important role it has played in our history. The display is comprehensive and interesting and brings the study of the heavens into a scale that the layman can appreciate. We had... More

This is Australia's premier optical observatory. Lots of informative displays and great views over Warambungle National Park. Good cafe too.

I was lucky to film on a show for the BBC and ABC. Filming nights to sunrise. Great facilities, amazing views day and night.

Add to this a clever and informative inforamtion screens and amazing images from space, one can't help but appreciate science and astronomers contribution to our ongoing knowledge about... More

The static display and the tour (minibus from the visitor centre) are excellent. And you never know who you may bump into at the cafe.

Very informative and spectacular views. Loved the interactive "mil carton" display, even us over 50's can get a kick from learning basic new things.

Fantastic to see the stars and planets so close up it was like you can touch them, our guide was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had, however I do think it's a little over priced for what you actually get..
