The Warrumbungle National Park was devastated in 2013 from bush fires but has bounced back. The fire although has revealed areas and features in the mountains, creeks and valleys that have not been seen by visitors. The wildlife has bounced back and many artificial nest boxes were installed after the fires to give our native fauna places to nest and... More

This is one of the best national park in NSW. I love the drive through the national park there are some. Great camping grounds.

Just returned from a one night stay, the facilities are great and camping area. Just wanted more information about the walks and had hoped people might have written more on trip advisor to help with planning. Thought we would do Grand High Tops a go today, but the weather was not good so ended up packing up in the rain... More

The grand high tops hike is about 17 klms return via West Spirey track. The first part is quite easy walking on pavers and wooden steps. Once you get closer to the Breadknife the track becomes quite steep and rugged. The views from Grand High Top is spectacular, almost looking down onto the Breadknife. Beautiful views. Many walking tracks for the fit people. Don't try it in summer months. Save the walking for wi ter time.

Take the scenic scenic drive through the Warrambungles uts beautiful. Watch out for the kangaroos. Drive is a little windy but well worth it.

Most beautiful setting .. Great bush walks ... Stunning views .... Well maintained camp sites ... Clean amenities. A visit to the telescope is a must.
