Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Neat, very clean ammenities. Very large amount of space either under the trees or out in full sun for solar charging. Suitable for tents and big-rigs.
I assume you can swim in the lake which is huge. Shaded picnic tables. Plenty of bins + recycling.

Such a relaxing, safe place to stay. The sunsets over the lake are stunning! Great amenities with toilets & hot showers, lots of picnic tables in the shade, big children's playground, specified swimming area in the lake. There is a walking trail pprox 3km around the lake with shelters along the way. The lake was full, even with the drought (although there was a flood approx 12mths ago). You can fish from the lake, can take boats out on the lake (great boat ramp & plenty of area to leave boat trailers etc., free BBQs (free everything unless you want to make a donation, which there is a place to do so). No site fees. Everything is free and only 4km out of town.

Beautiful lake, beautiful camp area. Biggest downfall is its not dog friendly. Clean amenities. Lots of bird life. Cute reserve

Stopped here to free camp for the night in our Motorhome with our friends Caravan.
The weather was kind and the Sunset was magnificent, even though free camping there were toilets, hot showers and the facilities were well maintained.Really worth a stay over.

Top free camping spot with hot showers and flushing toilets. Hopefully everyone leaves a donation in the donation tin so that the facility remains for travellers.

Although this camp is free it has facilities that compare with some of the charging camp sites. Free, hot showers, toilets and garbage bins. Site is clean and the lakeside is mown and delightful. Close to the river for fishing. Bird watching is great too. I felt a need to donate and go into town for food etc. Well done Condobolin.

A really great, safe and free campground. Up to 14 days camping. The lake is empty at the moment, but camp area is still really nice. Plenty of level and flat sites. No power. Easily accessible in any vehicle and suitable for any caravan or motor home size. Highly recommended.

Just 4 km out from Condobolin, Gum Bend Lake is a fabulous free camping spot.
When we were here a number of years ago the lake was full and there were boats out fishing .
We were so stunned when we arrived this time that there was only a very small area with water.
There is a live walk around the lake and you can stay for up to 14 days.
There are gas bbqs and a fabulous covered kid’s playground.
The best thing about the spot is that the nice and clean amenities not only have toilets but hot showers.
There is a spot to make a donation to help maintain the facility which you don’t mind.

Was recommended for a walk and very enjoyable. Water around but not a lot in the lake itself. A little muddy around edges but pleasant environment
