About 20 min west from Cobar on the Barrier Hwy. This is a 32km (one way) good dirt & gravel road which we drove our VW golf on to get to Mt Grenfell. Excellent country scenery and flora & fauna to see. Sheep farms with...More

This site was excellent! The art site was easily reached from the car park along a well made & well signed path. The art works were behind protective mesh barriers but were awe inspiringly beautiful! Such a treat to see these ancient artworks!

30ks up a dirt track, we enoyed the both the short walk to the aborignal painitings and the longer circuit. We were we the only people there which made it a very serene experience. Nice views from the ridge top. The site is not that...More

The road out to the site is very rough. But once you arrive the cultural and wildlife makes it all worth while. Make sure you take aero guard and water. Picnic tables and toilets are out there.

A bit of a drive up a well maintained gravel road ( dry weather only) brings you to this gem of a reserve. Art sites are accessed via a short walk, the path paved in local rock. We were here after rain so the area...More

This hidden gem is located 33 kilometres up a very rough track. Attempting to get there in the family car might prove to be taxing on both tyres & suspension but if you do make it you will be rewarded with an excellent example of...More

Just west of Cobar and 33km north is this historic site. The road is good but pretty rocky and fairly hard on the tyres. Caution is required on the road from wildlife and occasional rough conditions. Once at the site, the facilities are excellent with...More

Enjoyed the aboriginal art in the caves. Went on the full trip to the summit but in places markers are hard to find. The full green posts blend in with the environment too well at times. The climb was worth it, great views.
