Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is a great place to go for train enthusiasts of all ages. Having been on the trains there more than 40 times and counting, it is a great place which all people should visit, rain, shine or snow. The Mini Rail is wheelchair accessible and all carriages have doors on the sides to make access easier. It is 5 dollars per person for a 25 minute ride down a 2.5km track. You will see wombats, kookaburras, wallabies, golf balls, and many other things as you head up on your really comfy seats. Your train, unlike many other places, is decided by what you want to take. You might get the blue 8005, the red Ghan (known as CL98 by myself and the trainspotters). On some weekends, you might get to go back in time with a trip on a steam engine. If you are a diehard train enthusiast, then come down to the Casino Mini Rail. There are 3 engines being rebuilt with a fourth possible. The Ghan is very clean as it had a rebuild. From the days of steam to the days of locomotives like the EL Class, there is not one thing that you won’t like. Crowded trains?? No, that is Diamond Valley, a larger mini railway with too many people. Casino has no crowds at all, you might be lucky enough to have your own whole train to yourself.

A fabulous activity for the kids on a Sunday. Volunteers do a great job of maintaining two different trains which they drive a few kms to their railway museum. You have a stop there for a look around and then return to the starting point. They have a little kiosk where you can get a cup of tea and a pie. We brought a picnic which we had at the shaded tables by the dam.

We all had a ride on the train, it was so good! Our son, mr 5 especially enjoyed it. Little Miss 1 loved it as well. Definitely have to do if you have kids. The park is really nice as well.

What a great way to spend a day.
This is enjoyable for kid's of all ages,
Both Big & small.
It is a tribute to the volunteers,
who maintain/run & restore the carriages there.
The rail ride takes you along side the Casino Golf Course.
To the museum, where you can wander among the relics of a by-gone day.

Great little railway and mini trains took us on a long ride through the wetlands, bush and on the edge of the lovely Casino Golf Club. Friendly drivers and staff who are all volunteers and a great way to spend a couple of hours for families and anyone who would like a unique experience.

Just us 2 Grey Nomads who are not train buffs but appreciate the efforts of die hard volunteers. We were lucky to share the trip with train buffs.
The weather was perfect and the scenery through the back of the golf course was lush and green.
The 10 minute stop over at the old Casino Railway Station was just enough to view the articles on show. The museum is a work in progress with much to be done.
$5 per head was value for money and would recommend to all - not just for the young ones.

took in the miniature railway whilst on a recent visit to Casino. Only operates on Sundays, 10-4, but if your able to make it, its worth the effort. An enjoyable interlude between the golf course on one side, and the waterland on the other with its myriad of bird life, and at the end of the 2km track is a museum outlining the history of rail in the area. Well done to all concerned on a great family attraction. Take a picnic lunch and make a day of it.
