Where to start, from the time my wife booked my flight we experienced nothing but professional and attentive service and communication outstanding. The big day arrived and I was a little excited being a bone a fied aircraft nut. We meet David and Norm and from there the experience was just better, David gave me a run down on the aircraft history and then followed the safety briefing and than it was time to take to the skies. The sound and feel of that big rotary engine got me going and all excited again, take off was from the grass strip and was fantastic, after some smooth flying over the upereaches of the mountain and dam, Dave decided we should do some barrel rolls and loops, well my day was made, not that I don't think I could do a lot of them but the four we did was fantastic and to feel the G forces was another experience again.
We now turned back to the airfield once we arrived David gave me a taste of what it's like to do touch and goes on both hard and grass runways.
In all I could not thank David and Norm enough the day was fantastic and there care and dedication to both there aircraft which are beautiful and ther care to the clients is outstanding, if you do anything in your life book a flight with these guys and they will look after you and you will enjoy the spirit of what it was like to train and fight in one of these planes.

Truly an amazing experience! From the very beginning when booking, until the day of the flight. Dave and Norm are incredibly welcoming and informative. We purchased an aerobatic flight in the T6 Texan for our son’s 18th birthday and he absolutely loved it. We highly recommend Southern Warbird Adventures and would be happy to book with them again. Miss Fire is a sensational aircraft and you can see is so well maintained and treasured. Thank you so much! It was a joy to spend the afternoon at Camden Airport.

An amazing experience, recommended for everyone. Dave and Norm make you feel safe and comfortable from the get go. The plane has had a colourful history, really enjoyed hearing about its history before the flight. In the air, breath-taking views of the mountains, cliffs and lakes and you can really imagine being a pilot in the 40s. Truly an adventure, thank you Dave and Norm.

An incredible, informative and exhilarating time. With pilot David and groundsman Norman, together providing great information and answering any questions you throw at them. But more importantly, experiencing a piece of history in a true flight. Barrel rolls, loops and dog fight turns. Loved it. Absolutely loved it.

Great experience. Loved looking at Australia's Grand Canyon. Dave was an amazing pilot and Norm was great keeping my husband company while I was in the air. Loved the acrobatics at the end of the flight. Only complaint is that it was too short!!!

Top of the class from start to finish. The plane was immaculate, Dave the pilot was fabulous, barrel roles and beautiful scenery to boot. Excellent experience that comes with our highest recommendations. Thanks Dave!

It was a beautiful Autumn day when I visited Camden aerodrome last Sunday to take a Southern Warbirds adventure flight which my kids had arranged for my 70th birthday. Standing on the tarmac was a genuine WWII AT6 Texan fighter trainer complete with "Miss Fire" nose art and replica bombs and guns. The owners state that they keep it maintained to the highest standard and it certainly has the appearance of a better than factory new aircraft. It was a real buzz to simply sit in the cockpit of this plane. After a comprehensive pre flight briefing the pilot Dave Currie flew us out to the training area and expertly put the Texan through its paces with wing overs, barrel rolls and loops, I would have to say these aerobatics were absolutely brilliant and a real thrill and way exceeded my expectations of what a warbird flight could be. I have had quite a few flights in "interesting aircraft" ranging from old biplanes to a four engine heavy bomber (B17G Aluminum Overcast) but this was the best half hour I have spent in the air ever and is not to be missed. If ever you have wondered what it would be like to fly in a real fighter plane I absolutely recommend you try the Southern Warbirds adventure flight.

Dear David & Norm,
Thank you so much for making our day magnificant! We were so well looked after and appreciated the time you took to explain the flight and ensure we were comfortable for the duration of the experience. We both had an awesome day and have memories for a lifetime. I appreciate your care getting me safely in and out of the aircraft and then helping me through the wing rollover and barrel roll which I never imagined I would do. It was eye opening to see the extent of the mountain range from the air, you just can't appreciate it from the lookouts. When we flew past a few tiny clouds they looked like white fairly floss you could almost touch. I really enjoyed a great chat with Norm about the flight and the aircraft his enthusiasm was infectious.
If anyone is considering a flight we would say stop wondering and just go for it!

I booked a flight for my partner for his 22nd birthday, and was blown away! He had the time of his life. The T6 aircraft is a magnificent airplane! Learning about the history of it as well was fascinating. Dave ensured that my partner was comfortable and ran through everything with him before hand. Off they went! They flew over the blue mountains and did some amazing barrel rolls and loops! My partner could not wipe the smile off his face after. Not to mention the kind GoPro video given to us with the footage of his fantastic experience, capturing the flight from start to finish! Both Norm & Dave were great, took real care of us and ensured that my partner had an experience he'll never forget! I had just as much fun as he did! So much fun.
