Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Had a very good time. Princess Fiona, our bus driver, was a very nice person. The trip to Nimbin is a cool and funny experience for those who want to see something else than beautiful beaches.

Amazing tour guide, friendly, enthusiastic and informative. Bit disappointed no brightly coloured bus. Not much to actually do in Nimbin but good bucket list experience.

The tour is absolutely not worth it at all, you actually only drive to Nimbin and you don't stop at beautiful viewpoints as in the description, only at a small waterfall. The area is super nice but you can only see it from the car. Then you are abandoned for two hours in Nimbin, a small town that you can see in 20 minutes.

I was on the Happy Coach day trip to Nimbin today and had a fantastic time! I was recommended this trip by the tour company I went through and they were absolutely spot on with their recommendation. Princess Fiona is a wonderful guide with a very friendly personality and full of interesting facts not just about Nimbin but the other place we visited/passed through. I highly recommend using Happy Coach for your trip to Nimbin!

Our tour guide was lovely but the day was pretty boring, takes 1.5hr to get there from Byron & only get around an hour there. There isn’t much to see and wouldn’t say it was worth the money.

Princess Fiona was so nice and that was the best part about this trip. The bus that arrived for us was a plain white bus, no colourful, unique bus like advertised. They said this was in the garage which is fair. Then our bus broke down with a flat tyre so they had to send another bus for us, which did come quickly. Then we headed off to Killin falls for a 10 minute stop where we only seen the top of the waterfall and were told not to go down to the bottom view point. We then went to an old pub, where we only had 15 minutes, no time to order food or even a drink due to queues. Then we headed to Nimbin for just an hour and a half. Which it is a small place so that wasn’t bad amount of time but we felt we could have chilled out and spent more time in the little shops and cafes. Then the 1.5 hour drive home. And that was the full day 10am-4:30pm. We had a car and we really regretted not driving ourselves but we signed up for this as it looked something different and fun. We did not find this good value for money or the fun trip we expected.

Unfortunately the advertised beautifully painted, colourful Happy Coach was non existent. We were collected in a normal white bus and were all very disappointed to hear the usual bus was in a garage having some work done. About 30 mins into the journey, our bus had a flat tyre on the motorway. We then had to wait another 30 mins for a replacement coach to continue our journey. We popped to the waterfall very quickly with not enough time to even swim in it and enjoy it properly. Then onto Nimbin for only 1 and a half hours where we had some lunch and then left again for the drive back to the hostels.

We were unlucky that the weather wasn’t great and this is obviously no fault of anyone’s, but the overall experience just wasn’t as we had expected. Nimbin seemed more like a London backstreet on a Saturday night rather than a little hippie town.

I booked this tour on the wrong date and have been trying to get in contact with the company for 2 weeks now and never got contacted back. I managed to have someone on the phone but they were not helpful at all, told me to sent an email, which I did (about 2 or 3) and never got a response. The customer service is really not acceptable considering that I still paid the full price and never got a refund.
Would definitely not recommend!

Princess Fiona was our tour guide and was very chill, laid back, and provided some good information/stories about the area. Stopped off at a nice little waterfall to break up the journey and also at an old Aussie pub. Nimbin was a very small hippie town and the vibes were killer. Everyone was very chill and nice. Good shops for clothing and jewelry along with a few nice places to grab a bite to eat. Would definitely recommend if you’re into the hippie life.
