Whether you are looking for beginner group surf lessons, family surf lessons, kids groups, Womens only or private tuition, we offer all types of surfing and Stand Up Paddle (SUP) programmes. After one of the other local surf schools forgot we had booked with them for the morning, these guys made space for us at the last minute in the afternoon.
We had a lesson run by Tara. She was super friendly and offered helpful tips. There were only 4 of us in the class (2 beginners) and everyone was standing up by the end. Couldn’t recommend these guys more 👍👍👍

Our family absolutely loved the surfing lessons here at Byron bay. We had such a friendly instructor called Guy, who taught us all the tricks and tips especially for us beginners. It was such a friendly and fun community and enjoyed every bit. We went through all the safety tips then set out into the water. It was super safe and definitely recommend.

I had the best afternoon SUPing on the Brunswick River yesterday. I was lucky enough to be the only one booked on the tour, and my guide Darcy was very friendly, informative and made sure I had fun. He took lots of photos for me too, which I really appreciated. It was so peaceful gliding through the mangroves, and we saw pelicans, other water birds, fish and stingrays. I didn’t fall off - although did come close once!

A great afternoon spent on the water, learning to stand up paddle board. We were a small group and had lots of fun during the lesson, honing our technique.
We went out to the lake at Lennox Head due to the conditions which was really nice as we got to see another area and the lake was beautiful.

We had a brilliant time being taught how to paddle board. I wasn’t confident that I would be able to get on the board let alone stand up ! However with Dylans help i did it & feel fairly chuffed with myself myself. I would recommend anyone to give this a go. Thanks again Dylan

I went for an introductory surfing lesson in Byron Bay. Amazing. All the staff super friendly and easygoing. The instructor, Brett, excellent guy, really funny and friendly ! Great Job Guys ! Keep going that way !

Great morning out learning to surf ! Such a mix of instructors all of who were hard case, friendly and made me feel very safe in the water. Only note would be to have more feedback as to what went wrong when trying to stand up so I could have changed things up and stood up more can't wait to try again with these guys on my next visit to byron 🤙🌊

I had a lot of fun in my three lessons package that I booked! My teachers were Mark, Charlie, Jon, Dan and Jane and they were all fantastic! They really had an eye on me and could give me tips on how to improve. In general the staff and the instructors were super attentive! Wetsuits and boards were great and sunscreen and zinc was provided! As a solo traveller I also felt super comfortable as everyone was supporting each other and had a lot of fun. I can definitely recommend booking surflessons at Let‘s go Surfing!:)

Such a good way to see the estuary and try out paddle boarding for the first time. We went as a group on a private tour and loved every bit of it. Our guides Ricky and Krystal were super friendly and very accommodating for our experience level. The home-made hommus and bread was the perfect way to end the tour. Definitely recommend this as part of Byron getaway.

You can park your car in the big carpark right next to our Surf Shack!
You just turn into the carpark from 84 Jonson st or right near the byron bay visitors centre
We are located behind the medicine Wheel (business) on jonson st
