Just a great place by the sea!

Unfortunately, the road into Byron is mega-busy in the New Year as it is one of the great places on Earth. Top eats and entertainment, but scenically it is perfect

Although Byron Bay is very touristy (more so in summer), it is still very lovely. There are so many stunning beaches and great cafe/restaurants. There are plenty of arty/craft shops and there is plenty of opportunity to pick-up great local art pieces. I would recommend going into the industrial/art area down near Bayshore Drive (I think it's mainly a few... More

The hippy culture of Byron is still mildly visible but mostly overrun by the young tourists and backpackers. Camper vans are abundant, and with a wide easy surf break there is surf for all levels from The Pass to past Belongil. Byron is mostly pet friendly with pooches allowed in many cafes. Belongil beach is pooch heaven from dawn to... More

Nice small sea side town That's very busy during summer time with the back packers and local surfers, with beach big enough that you can get away from the crowds to do your own thing :)

It is very small but very busy place. You will find lots of camping parks around but they might be booked out during the season.

Must see! The beach is spectacular. We only spent 3 days there, but will be back. Everything is holiday, relaxed and easy.

This place is unique, a lot more commercialised than it used to be. But the pub is probably the nicest place to eat there great live music almost all the time and the view to the water is fantastic. Just be careful as you have to pay for parking just about everywhere in the town centre.

It's one of those places that you got to go visit in a lifetime. It's alive with cool people, waves crashing and amazing nature. A total beach culture.
