8km loop from our accomodation and so worth it!! The view the whole walk is gorgeous - we saw whales and dolphins from the lighthouse! And that little coffee shop at the lighthouse with a view is nice.

My wife and I hiked it early on our last day before heading to GC airport. Beautiful sunrise and wonderful activity!

I had to stop and paint a picture of this lovely headland and historic lighthouse. Parking is limited, trails abound. You can't beat the scenery on all sides. Lighthouse itself is historic and picturesque with a small exhibit inside. Cafe on the grounds, along with...More

A great place to view the whales and dolphins when in season. Walking tracks give you a choice of views and different angles to the ocean. Small coffee shop provided lunches drinks etc. Only problem is parking and 1hr limit at the top. 4hr parking...More

Cape Byron lighthouse really is a must see. Not just for the spectacular 360 degree views, but for the wildlife spotting. The whales come really close as they go into or out of the bay, often accompanied by a posse of dolphins. You see eagles...More

Rain or shine, this famous Australian landmark is worth the visit. So much history in one spot with incredible views. Not a lot of parking for those who aren’t very mobile, but worth the walk for those who are.

What a beautiful landmark . I would leave the car in town and take the walk . The walk through the pass is beautiful and very scenic . If you’re lucky you’ll see dolphins and whales .

Well worth a look. I love lighthouses. Still in working order. This time of year the whales migrate up the coast. Could not see any unfortunately waited for awhile but the rain beat me. Can drive up and park in lower area free of charge...More

It’s a tough walk but well worth it when you get to the top! My mum is in her 70s and struggled with the stairs. There’s a nice cafe halfway along to have a break.
