    Worth a visit
Go early if you can (before 10am) to avoid crowds & hopefully get a park at the top ($8) so you can look around for awhile. We couldn't get a park when visiting at lunchtime, but still saw Whales breaching on the drive down. Beautiful place.

    Beautiful spot to watch whales
We did the walk up to the lighthouse which was by road as the beach pathway was closed for maintenance. The view of Tallow beach on the way up was incredible with miles and miles of white Sandy beaches. As we walked up to the lighthouse we looked out and saw lots of whales far out, breaching but be patient and keep your eyes peeled. We walked up to the lighthouse where we were rewarded with the most beautiful view of the coastline below. We also walked to the most easterly point which is a short walk below the lighthouse which we would recommend as from here we saw some whales swimming closely to the mainland which was amazing. What a special place. I visited here 22 years ago and it is really pleasing that this area has become a marine park - an absolutely beautiful place and a must visit when in Byron Bay.

    Amazing views
A short drive and climb up reveals this stunning location with beautiful panoramic views. Sadly, parking is an absolute nightmare with only enough space to park about 20 cars which is barely enough for any attraction. I was forced to stay in the car and let out my friends and family so that they could enjoy the short walk to the lighthouse.

Beautiful views after lovely walk from Byron Bay
We tackled this walk on a lovely November day. It took us 3-4 hours round trip (circular walk) but it was worth it! Gorgeous views from all vantage points along the way and when you get there. Probably best in half decent footwear as depending on the weather it might be slippery in some places. A great walk to visit the most easterly point of Australia. If you are not interested in the walk you can drive up to the lighthouse car park and park (approx $8) but there aren't that many parking spaces. A must do when you visit Byron Bay.

    Stunning View
The lighthouse is definitely worth the walk from Byron Bay. Make sure you bring lots of water and sunscreen with you. There are plenty of places to take great pictures along the way.

The lighthouse is a must-see in Byron Bay, and the view of the sunrise over Australia's most easterly point was just spectacular.

Stunning views along the way.
There are a lot of stairs and it’s definitely not an easy climb.
Take your time and don’t forget your water.

The lighthouse is impressive, fantastic views up and down the coast (as one would expect) and interesting to read some of the history too. Perfect spot for impressive holiday snaps!

Byron Bay Lighthouse provided a stunning view of the coastline and is a ‘must see’ if you are in the area.

What was disappointing was the apathetic behaviour and interest of the NSW National Parks female employee in the gift shop who spent 3min on her phone texting whilst I stood in the middle of the room hoping she would look up and assist me. Finally I asked her if she could assist me as I was after some information of colonial settlement and the families who lived in the lighthouse. I asked as other lighthouses I have visited includes that interesting information. The NSWNP employee advised she didn’t know anything nor where to find that info - she was totally disinterested in my questions. I expressed disappointment and said that there were plenty of near vacant rooms in the old house that could contain a storyboard of info. She didn’t seem to care. As I walked out - I found 1 storyboard of information. I went back to tell her that I found a storyboard and that in future she could direct people outside to the storyboard - again no interest. NSWNP - please train your staff she was an employee located in a heritage building - your staff should know the basics of the building history and where to direct people for information. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. Perhaps time spent educating herself about the area I. Which she works would benefit her rather than spending time texting on her mobile (second time I went back in, her mouth was full of food so she couldn’t talk).

Difficulty getting a car park but worth the effort-great views, we spotted lots of whales, dolphins and stingrays. Interesting facts and photos/pictures of lighthouse-also a cafe to stop for a coffee 😻

Parking in a nightmare but I suggest park at the bottom and walk up. It’s not a bad walk and the lookout is beautiful. Really busy so be careful as you make your way up
