Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I only discovered this long sandy beach when I peered down from the lookout points at the Cape Byron Lighthouse. It looked amazing - stretching for such a long way with magnificent waves rolling in off the Pacific Ocean. I could just make out the odd person way down below but, for the most part the whole long beach seemed to be empty, There were certainly few signs of human life down there - but it was early in the morning still.
What a fantastic place. I only wish that I had reserved more time to explore this more fully but I will just have to save that for another occasion. Hopefully.

While the main beach is buzzing, people everywhere, and is patrolled. Tallow beach is quiet. We went a few mornings and just about had the beach to ourselves. The sand is soft, little waves, crystal blue water. Divine.

Such a beautiful beach! We just happened to end up here accidently but decided since we were at the parking area, we may as well check out the beach. WOW, Stunning to see Tallow Beach here. I had only seen it from above by the Lighthouse during my last visit in 2011.
We walked along the beach for a bit but didn't stay as long as we would have liked as we had to get back on our road trip.
I would suggest making time to spend here, bring a picnic lunch, and just enjoy this beautiful spot!

This a long sandy beach leading to a national park bushland at the headland.
We walked for more than half an hour and then back again. There were others enjoying the scenery and the sunshine. There were even surfers and surfboard riders near the headland.
What a great way to get your exercise for the day.

Visited on Tuesday 22nd June. Had a late afternoon walk along Tallow Beach, the view up to the Lighthouse is worth seeing. At night it would be amazing with the light shinning bright.

This beach is sick for a surf day away from the crowds of Byron. I recommend going here with a picnic so you can enjoy your he entire day there. It has a decent swell so don’t forget to bring your boards.

Wonderful wide clean beach.
Great place to just set off from point A and just wander until you feel like stopping.
Dunes are fairly low and provide some shade

Absolutely gorgeous beach that stretches for miles. Had me wanting to have a dog to take for a long walk along the beach. Spectacular whether you are viewing from the Lighthouse or down on the beach.

Tallow Beach is a great place to go for a LOOOOOONG walk from Byron Bay to Broken Head and further. Enjoy the surf, sand, and watch surfers and hang-gliders. A pretty beach with nice sand and fresh air! Could you ask for more?
