I am left with profound disappointment and frustration with regards to my recent experience with Craig Parry Photography, which I feel obliged to share with you as a warning! I booked a whale photography tour in Tonga back in 2020, paying a whopping AUD 3832 (~ USD 2600) in two deposits. However, this whole thing has turned into a nightmare, as the tour was postponed three times due to the pandemic and a volcanic eruption. Despite those setbacks, I remained optimistic, believing that Craig Parry Photography would live up to their promise of providing the trip that I had paid for. Last year, Craig Parry then offered me an alternative option to either have the tour canceled and be reimbursed the second deposit or have the tour postponed to 2023. I chose to postpone the tour to 2023, expecting to receive what I paid for. However, in December 2022, I received an email stating that the tour scheduled for 2023 would be significantly different from what was originally booked: the now "revised" tour was for a set date, involved shorter duration, fewer whale swims, shared accommodation, and a different location on a different island (again, all of this being vastly different compared to what was originally offered). When I expressed my reservations about this alternative option, they assured me that I could wait for them to schedule the regular trips for this year, but they failed to deliver on their promise, telling me when I followed up in February 2023 they would only be able to offer the "revised tour". When I demanded a refund of my deposit, they stated that they were unable to reimburse any of the money paid, as their suppliers were not reimbursing them. While I sympathize with their financial difficulties, it is not my responsibility to bear the consequences of their suppliers' incompetence or lack of accountability, as well as their failure to demand their money back from their suppliers. In addition, I have never seen what they actually paid their suppliers, leaving me with the question how much money they kept for themselves that they are now not reimbursing? Despite me being accommodating and only requesting a 75% refund, they did not respond to my follow-up inquiries, leaving me no other option but to pursue legal action to recover my money. Therefore, I urge everyone to exercise extreme caution when dealing with Craig Parry Photography, as they are clearly unreliable and untrustworthy.

Please find following an update on this review. Disappointingly many of the claims laid out here are inaccurate, including but not limited to:
* being scammed (funds were paid under clear terms with all efforts made to accomodate the customer through clear, open and honest communication)
* being out of pocket the indicated amount - this is untrue and a reimbursement was received despite the terms of agreement.
It is also worth noting that the customer has requested additional payment to remove this review.
Should anyone wish to discuss this further we welcome you to contact us and we are happy to address any questions and supply evidence which contradict these claims. We also encourage you to refer to all of our other five star reviews across a multitude of other platforms.
Whilst we are sorry Marie feels she didn’t receive the outcome she desired, we wish her all the best.

Started chatting to the guy behind the desk & after a while he revealed he was Craig Parry! Fantastic to meet him & even more stoked to find out he uses a Sony camera & DJI drone much like myself… WOW!

I was so excited to discover that Craig has a store in Byron Bay - I've long been a fan of his beautiful work. Craig is a gifted photographer able to capture the essence of the landscapes and sea creatures he captures.
Craig is lovely to deal with and happy to accommodate different requests to suit your home. He has pieces at a variety of price points so there's no excuse not to take a piece of his artwork home with you. I did just that and had the framed piece shipped to me. Both the work and the framing are great quality and reasonably priced.
Can't wait to visit again when I am back in Byron!

Craig's skill and knowledge as a photographer speaks for itself in his work and his easy going way of teaching makes it a fun weekend workshop if you are wanting to understand more about underwater photography.

a beautiful gallery in the heart of Byron Bay, showcasing local and international nature and wildlife photography. it is clear that craig loves what he does and the service was impeccable. something at all price points so it's hard to not walk away with a little piece of byron :-) a must see!

Stumbling across the gallery while exploring Byron, i was quickly captivated by the photography on display here. I didn't walk in planning to spend any money but left thrilled with an underwater photo of a magnificent whale. Stunning photos at affordable prices

We stumbled across this gallery as we were exploring Byron and were so glad that we did. Amazing, jaw-dropping shots and the gal working there was very engaging and well-informed about Craig Parry's work. The photographs on display are exceptional and everything is reasonably priced. Stopping there really made me appreciate, even more, the beauty of Byron Bay and the coastal region. If you love nature and nature photography, you must stop here.
