This beach is beautiful, calmer then the rest, has BBQ facilities but I couldn't spot a toilet...This is the beach you get to when walking the lighthouse trail

Definitely worth a visit. It has a great bbq and shady area for family and social gatherings which is perfect when you have kids. Really relaxed and if you are feeling like upping the game and spending a bit more cash then Rae's at Watego's...More

Wategos Beach is edged by pandanus palms and there is a pathway along the coastal cliff that leads back to The Pass, very pretty. Only downside is that there are parking meters now.

Somewhat out of the way, and quieter than the beach up the road. A bit more rough and ready as well.

Wategos is a quiet small cove, with a crescent sandy beach, tucked around the headland from Byrons main Clarks beach. It's worth the scenic walk along the clifftop to visit this pretty little bay. And you can reward yourself with a drink at Rae's bar.

Walking along the sands of Wategos Beach makes one forget time :-) Secluded, pristine and safe. One of my favourite places in Byron Bay, worthwhile the trip!
