Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was SO GREAT to visit a 'local' smaller, family vineyard. The wines were excellent as were the fortified. The atmosphere was lovely and after visitng the bigger, commercialed vineyards. This was the BEST by far.

Was very much looking forward to this, but was disappointed in the end. Received okay service at the start of the wine tasting, then about halfway through we were almost completely ignored. We watched people who arrived well after us sail through their tastings while we just sat there. Was intending to buy some wine, but got up and left without completing the tasting disappointed and empty handed.

We stumbled across this small family run winery whilst out taking a drive from our accommodation. It is apparently the oldest winery in the Southern Highlands with the vineyard having been planted in 1983. The current owners purchased the property in 2016 and I found it interesting that several of the bottles available for tasting dated from 2017.
The cellar door has a quite rustic appearance from the outside and there is a large grassed area for children and adults alike to enjoy whilst tasting some wine.
Tastings were $5 per person during our visit which I think is more than reasonable given the size of the winery. This small winery produces a surprising number of different varieties/styles of wine from a Moscato Frizzante through still whites and reds to a Boysenberry liquor - 13 in all.
We enjoyed the Pinot Grigio and the Reserve Chardonnay and bought some of Reserve Cabernet Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon to cellar further.
Our host was very friendly, knowledgeable and generous with his tastings.

We came to Joadja for a wine tasting and attended with our 2 children. We were served by Greg who was absolutely lovely. The kids were able to play outside or do colouring in while we did the wine tasting next to the cosy fireplace, so it is very easy, relaxing and so family friendly. We really liked the sparkling and the boysenberry liquor was to die for. This is a must visit, nice wine, family friendly, such a chilled out experience of wine tasting almost like going to a friends house for a chat and a wine in a cosy atmosphere.

A group attended here on a social occasion mainly as a lunch destination, cellar door a bonus!
The owners are brilliant, friendly and passionate about their wine(s). We purchased as did just about all of us, including a glass with lunch.
Ms Pho Canteen is currently in the gardens and the food was sensational and fresh. Well worth a visit for a tasting and lunch or a snack.

Another wonderful experience in the oldest winery in the Southern highlands. It is old world charm and the new owners are just full of passion for the wine industry. Great wines.

We pre-booked our $5 tasting on the drive from Sydney to Berrima. We indulged in many tastings and were confident in our selection of wines that we wished to enjoy at home. We enjoyed a quick peek at the gardens and vines. A lovely little set up. We wish the owners all the best with their lovely business

Do not bring your dog here. Despite numerous previous reviewers confirming that this cellar door was dog friendly and our own note to them that we were bringing our dog, when we arrived we were turned away by an extremely rude and unpleasant woman (I wish I’d gotten her name - working at noon on Saturday 28 November). Not only was she not in the least apologetic, she also became aggressive and refused when we requested a refund of the tasting fee we had paid online.
Turns out their new “no-dogs” policy is in the terms and conditions. That’s all well and good, but for a cellar door that previously was so publicly dog friendly, you should really consider making this more prominent on your website. In any event, you should not get hostile with customers.
I for one will not be returning - with or without my dog.
