For 30 years this has been one of the biggest and best markets in Australia. In the middle of the village of Bangalow in the Showground once a month the market brings hundreds of stallholders together to provide a feast for the all of your senses. Food, craft, art, clothes... performers world class buskers and music.

We visited the markets on a holiday to northern NSW. There was a good range of stalls and a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Bangalow is a modest village with some nice old-fashioned stores along the Main Street including a CWA store selling mainly handmade children's clothes and toys. The market itself had stalls with lots of healthy and delicious looking products. I bought some cordials, marmalade, honey, macadamia...More

We initially wanted to visit for the 4th time the good old Byron Bay markets paying $4/hour parking and to our disappointment, it was the day before on Saturday, but the lady at information told us about the Bangalow markets and we decided "to have...More

Thanks for your review. The Bangalow market works with the local community and we try to make it something they enjoy and value. You are right there are stalls at Bangalow that are not at other markets. You can visit the Market and the village...More

These markets are awesome and highly recommend taking a stroll around them. It does get busy so best to get there early and beat the large crowds. There is a wide variety of food and drink stalls to suit everyone's taste, so you'll never go...More

Thanks Debbie, it is always good to get positive reviews especially in the cooler months when the morning are cold and the 300 odd stallholders are up early getting ready.

Great way to spend a Sunday with family or friends. Wonderful variety of food on offer and some really great performers. One word of advice......come in from the south because the traffic jams coming in from the north were massive.

Take Jimmy's advice and if you are coming from the north after exiting the Pacific Highway or coming from Byron continue past the first Bangalow exit (keeping going downhill) and come in at the next exit.

This monthly community market has pretty good quality crafts and also has food available. In my view it's one of the better markets in the region.

This is our pick of the markets in the region on account of its size, diversity of products and vibe. Parking can be an issue - parking is available at the showgrounds for $2 (funds go to the upkeep of the grounds) but can queue...More
