Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What an incredible experience. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Mark is an amazing pilot and it's really interesting to listen while he explains how the plane works and the commentary during the flight. The warbird is beautiful, she's kept in great condition and the ride was just awesome. The views over the Byron and Ballina shire are so stunning and when we came around the lighthouse I was speechless. An adventure flight with Classic Aero is one of the best things to do in the area and I would recommend it to all. Thanks Mark, you rock!

This was a great flight n a former RAAF trainer aircraft. I was given the flight by my son and neighbours for my birthday. I opted to share it with my son and 4 year old aircraft obsessed grandson.
I highly recommend this flight by an excellent pilot.

Last week I had the the great pleasure of an aerobatic flight with Mark Awad in his perfectly restored Winjeel A85-429 at Ballina.
The flight was booked as a present from my three children Amanda, Paul and Jason on the occasion of a biggish birthday and was a surprise beyond my most favoured wish.
The weather was perfect and showed off the magnificent scenery around Ballina once airborne.
Of particular pleasure to me was that I actually last flew this aircraft as a RAAF pilot on the 7th March 1963 and I was on the first pilot course to fly this type of aircraft fresh from the factory.I have to say that Mark maintains his aircraft in mint condition and it looked as good as those brand new ones I got to fly initially !
What a superbly generous gift ,blessed by perfect weather and flown by a gifted owner
pilot , Mark Awab. Great memories revisited
I thoroughly recommend this experience to one and all , there is no age barrier to a delightful ride in a truly characterful aircraft with a history!
Go for it !!

I had the most amazing flight. Mark the Pilot covers all details and gives you confidence in his ability to command this beast of a machine.
Between back rolls and barrel rolls Mark would point out features in the landscape including Byron Bay's lighthouse.
Mark definitely caters too the needs of the passenger and their upside-down threshold.
I purchased a film of the trip which was great, it even recorded our conversation up there.
I recommend the this company to anyone who has a sense of adventure, you won't be disappointed.

How fantastic.
Whilst on a driving tour from Sidney to Cairns I happened across a flyer for scenic flights in a CA-25 Winjeel from Ballina airport near Byron Bay. I always try to fit in a flight whilst over sea's and this seemed a good opportunity to go up in something unusual. This is one of only 16 left flying.
We were greeted at the airport by Mark, who is the owner/operator and he introduced us to the aircraft. Looking like something like a cross between a Chipmunk and Harvard I could hardly contain my excitement!
My two fellow passengers had never flown in a light aircraft before, but the calm and steady manner of this Californian pilot put them at their ease. Safety briefing over with, we were soon accelerating down the runway in this immaculate aircraft. Over the next 30 minutes we swooped over Macadamia and sugar cane fields to turn in a low level run around the Cape Byron lighthouse. We circled over Dolphin's, round fishing boats, and famous actors houses.
This was so enjoyable, I took the opportunity to go straight back out again to do aerobatic's with him. Loops, rolls, barrel rolls, reverse half Cubans, wing overs. All in a clear blue sky in which we could see for miles. I had every confidence in Mark's ability to control the aircraft in unusual circumstances, and to deal with other aircraft not doing what they were supposed to!
All in all a fabulous time, and highly recommended.

I had the opportunity to fly I'm this beautiful old warbird last year and I was not disappointed. I took the aerobatic option and had so much fun. Looking up out the top of the cockpit and looking at whales is an interesting experience. Would recommend to everyone. Also one of the best value aerobatic flights in aus.
