What a great little cinema this is. Old worldly, quirky and with a style all of it's own. We went to see a recently released film and sat there with a glass of wine, a very enjoyable experience. We also happened to be in Avoca Beach on Melbourne Cup day (the race that stops the nation) when the proprietors put... More

Such a stunning old structure that gives a nod to Art Deco. Films aren't main stream. The proprietors hold a lot of events for charity. You can get a good glass of wine at the concession stand. Why aren't you there already?!

The Avoca Beach Theatre is a quirky olde world cinema which has been in Avoca since the 1950s. The charming foyer sets the scene for a relaxing night out at the "flicks"! Refreshments (including beer and wine) are available for purchase so that you can sit with friend outside the theatre and enjoy the ambience of the location.

Lovely old theatre and great selection of movies. Just wish they had popcorn! Vino is a welcome option though!

Avoca Beach Picture Theatre is a 'must do' experience for cinema lovers. The colourful foyer features a creative array of clothing, jewellery and quirky treasures - sure to keep you entertained before doors open to the cosy cinema.

Lovely traditional cinema....feels like stepping back in time. Leave enough time to browse the little gift shop at reception, before stepping into this olde word cinema where they hold numerous fundraisers for the local community as well as showing both popular and lesser known movies.

This beautiful old cinema is a gem on the Central Coast and a delight to visit. The theatre's owners are lovely, kind and passionate about film. Definitely a favourite of mine.

I love the fact you can have a coffee or wine while you are watching the movie. The seats are comfortable, plenty of leg room, and the theatre has so much character.

We went to a matinee of The Daughter. It is an older theatre, but presents well. Apparently they wish to do some improvements but the Council have refused the DA. Shame on them. We enjoyed the visit.
