This place is amazing. Got there early, just on sunrise, plenty of frosts. Amazing photos were taken. Take your time as the sun makes great patterns and shadows across the rocks. The sound of the water is mesmerising.

We have a lovely afternoon here exploring the ruins and playing in the river. Just be careful we found a few snakes in the ruins. Clean toilets and friendly people all around.

This is a great place to take kids to. The walk is manageable and they learn about the history of the mines and the region as they go. Do the longer walk to see more.

The old gold mill ruins were fascinating! The river was beautiful, and I think it would be perfect for a swim in summer! The walk was easier, many great photo opportunities! Great for families!

There is always an outside chance. There were some kids panning when we were there. But just getting the equipment and panning might be a great experience, even if you don’t get anything.
