Lovely gardens
Jul. 2021
The gardens are beautiful, some lovely flowers and trees. Definitely worth a visit. We didn't visit the house so are unable to comment on that. The cafe on the other hand wasn't up to much, the food wasn't great and the prices were through the roof. I would recommend taking a picnic.

Stunning!
Jun. 2021 • Family
No words can describe the beauty of this place. This place will blow you away with its natural beauty. It is so vast and filled with things to see and enjoy that you can't even cover it in a day. Absolutely stunning gardens and the views from here are spectacular. It is pretty much free for everyone to enjoy. We went there in the evening and there were hardly any people there.

From Plymouth, take the 8 min Cremyll ferry (close to Royal william yard) to Mt Edgcumbe. It runs every 30 min until late in the evening. Another option is to take the less frequent ferry from Barbican. If you visited Cawsand via ferry, you can take the long walk to Mount Edgecumbe from Cawsand. Cawsand is a full day activity - so I would not recommend doing both in a day if you are visiting for the first time.

Totally blown away! After visiting Mount Edgcumbe, you can relax at the pub next to the ferry point. Bliss!

A wonderful place to visit
May 2021
We spent a week in a cottage on the estate in May and were blown away at how beautiful it was. So many lovely walks from our doorstep with our dog, the camilia trail would have been spectacular a couple of weeks before but the wind and rain had spoilt them but the blue and white bells did make up for the lack of blooms. We had a wet week but that did not spoil our enjoyment too much.

Hidden gem!
May 2021 • Solo
I've never heard of this site despite living so close. I was absolutely blown away how beautiful the grounds and gardens are. I spent a few hours exploring the woodland walks and waterside and absolutely can not wait to return. Could happily spend an entire day here, just need some good weather.

Love these grounds and had a very enjoyable visit with the family. Love how vast the area is and different walkways. The orangery is fab for a pit stop and refresh. Can not wait to explore the house and gardens again properly when reopened.

Fantastic for 3.5 year old
Dec. 2020 • Family
My daughter was in complete amazement with the experience, she’s 3.5 years old and we had to walk around twice. We go there for 3:30pm and walked straight in, we had time to take picture and take it all in. It took us an hour to go round the first time, I’m really pleased we got there in the light as we were able to read all the stories and really see all the fairies. Once we got the picnic area she roasted her first marshmallow (again in complete amazement) and then she was desperate to walk around again now that it was dark. I have to say the lights and fire display was beautiful but the walk around this time took us 10mins. I would highly recommend getting there at dusk so you can experience both. We will definitely be back next year. A big thank you to all your hard work.

Wonder Night
Dec. 2020
Absolutely fantastic. We went with our daughter and grand daughter aged 3.5. From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The booking system was easy and made so much sense booking activities and goody bags prior to arrival. We arrived at 15.30, no queuing. As it was still light we were able to read all the little signs telling us the stories of each fairy. The ideas and imaginations for the little ones to follow was just so lovely. We then stopped for our hot drinks and cooking marshmallows. When we finished it was dark, so we were able to do the walk again, absolutely brilliant as we saw the light show this time around.
It made a completely different experience. The staff were so friendly and happy. The hot drinks were delicious, so too the marshmallows! Parking was easy and not far to walk. Thank you for such a magical experience. Would definitely recommend and return next year!! Probably the only negative was the long drive to get there when the ferry only takes 5 mins, would be great to have that running in time too?!!!! Thank you as this must have been hours to set up.

A walk in the park in December
Dec. 2020 • Couples
My wife and our French Bull Dog Ella visited Mount Edgecumbe House and Country Park during our short stay in Kingsand Bay. We both found the grounds well sign posted and laid out, with lot of interesting things to find and admire, a must place to visit.
