Welcome to the newly refurbished St Austell Brewery Visitor Centre and Hicks Bar. Our Visit England accredited Visitor Centre reveals the secrets behind our award-winning brewing process. Submerge yourself in more than 160 years of brewing excellence and discover the heritage of this proudly independent family brewery. Our Hicks Bar is open 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday serving an all-day menu until 4pm. So, whether you are popping in for a coffee and a cake, a tasty pub meal or just a pint of your favourite beer, we will be happy to satisfy your appetite! And don't forget to pay a visit to the St Austell Brewery shop. With the full range of delicious St Austell bottled and canned beers (including some exclusive beers from our Small Batch Brewery) and branded gifts and clothing plus finest Walter Hicks wines, there's a drink or gift for every occasion. Dogs are welcome in all areas expect the Brewing Experience.

Very enjoyable visit to st Austell brewery today. Very friendly, welcoming and informative staff. We enjoyed tasting different beers and then buying from the shop. Food excellent. 10/10

Worth a visit if in the area. We went on a rainy day, an ideal way to spend time. Nice bar area and the visitor centre is free. Tours cost £12 and take 1.5 hours - we decided against it. Dogs very welcome.

A group of 7 of us went for the brewery tour during the Royal wedding. Roy made it really interesting as he had a huge amount of knowledge to share with us. They had an excellent token system so we could get beer to enjoy...More

There is a nice restaurant inside and families were having lunch so I imagine it's fine for kids since they won't be offered any alcoholic beverages to drink. You can checkout their website for further information:

I believe there was a handicapped ramp out front that takes you inside to the store and to purchase tickets for the tour. Restrooms are down a narrow hallway so don't think adequate space for a wheelchair or scooter. I... More

Probably not as in my tour group 2 people had walking sticks and 1 of those sat out part of the tour.
