Wow what a great little museum, I say little as it appears to be but it is crammed with interesting artifacts. There were people of all ages and certainly something for everyone. We took our son who is only 10 months old but will defitnetly be returning when he is older and he can appreciate it. I took the pram... More

This was a 'what on earth can we do on a wet day' visit but it turned out to be amazing ... I honestly thought it would be a shed in a back garden and that the visit would be all of ten minutes ... well how wrong can you be ..... this visit was fascinating, captivating and totally engaging... Visited here with my elderly parents, one of whom has mobility issues and they loved it! The history in the village that comes together in the centre is overwhelming! They is so much to see, read, experience. It's not a huge place but it took us several hours to get around seeing the exhibits and reading the stories that linked... More

Really good value for money Plenty to do see and learn in a spectacular historic harbour setting. The museum has a vast collection of artifacts from real shipwrecks and also has a section about the history of diving which is very informative. One morning is not enough to take it all in.

It certainly gave more insight into the China clay industry of which Cornwall is so famous, indeed, of which Charlestown is so famous for. The exhibits are... More

A compact museum highlighting the history of shipwrecks and smuggling. Nice range of exhibits and enough to keep you interested including a good film at the end.

If you are interested in the sea, shipwrecks etc then this a good place to go. I think children may also enjoy it. We found it interesting enough, there is plenty to see and lots of information.
