Visited here today 25/05/17, didn't mind the admission price of £13.50 as it's going towards keeping part of the counties heritage alive. There is plenty to see here and an abundance of equipment left over from when the mine was still in use. It's an eerie feeling when you enter the management offices and 'the dry' everything is still as... More

This mine gives so much more than you expect, its deceptive in appearance and also gives you an emotional ride with the "dry" being just as it was on the last working day. There are good exhibits and then the underground tour is The cherry on the cake! Be aware that its narrow and low in places but the hard hat... More

Situated on the spectacular Cornish coast, one of the most remarkable aspects of this site is that it is completely authentic. The tour goes through the actual ore processing plant, and some of the older underground workings. There are many educational and informative displays, but the true highlights are the tour guides themselves. Obviously mining professionals, they not only impart... More

A great day out that we had planned for an uncertain weather day. Starting off in the cafe where we enjoyed a great pasty followed by a tour of the mine site which showed much of the history and was brought truly alive by the many photographs of the actual miners. The last item was an underground walking tour which... More

The visit to Tin Mine was excellent, very interesting and lots to see. Cafe a different story. Slow service and poor food. Soup...resembled nothing like 'soup',... it was disgusting.

A really interesting visit some of the best highlight were "the dry" and of course going underground also our guide for the underground. "The dry" is in simples terms is the miners locker room, but it's truly so much more than that. The history and feelings that's these rooms emit are something special and you get just a glimpse of... I was totally amazed by our visit to Geevor. We took 34 Spanish school children and we were all extremely impressed by the whole thing. Clint and his team made it so interesting. It really was a memorable trip. The kids loved panning for gems and semi precious stones, the machinery rooms are incredible, the tour underground- every part of... More

Called in here for lunch with two elderly relatives and were well catered for. Excellent food and good portions. Did not have a chance to look at the mine, but will return to do so. Good gift shop.

This is a tour with a difference both above and below ground. For sure the Cornish Miners had it tough on this windswept hill with some of the shaft going under the sea and deep down in the ground. The tours are good with well informed guides and the industrial past of the County is on display with plenty of... More

I am only reviewing the cafe at Geevor Mine as I didn't venture underground. What a surprise! It is in an interesting old industrial building that has been converted into a characterful cafe. There is a blackboard with specials on it, but there are much more comprehensive menus on the tables. There is a good selection of food that all... More
