Very interesting visit to the Geevor Tin Mine which included an underground tour of Wheal Mexico with a very informative guide. The underground mine corridors were much smaller than I had imagined and I wouldn't recommend it for the claustrophobic.

The tin mine tour was worthwhile but the underground experience truly gave you a glimpse of what working in the mine would have been like. Insightful and glad we took time to visit.

The Geevor mine is just up the road from the Levant mine and, in my view, has much more to look at. And please disregard previous reviews suggesting that the underground tours are no more - they are still being run, and are very good....More

We were there about 3 and a half hours, lots to read and look at, the highlight was the trip down the mine which took up at least an hour.

Not that I know, but it's dark down there, and slippery - so you need to be careful if you go with small child.
