It's ok for sailing and a few water sports, or for a day relaxing the scenery is great. Very tight roads to get there, when you get there it's nice and peaceful.

We did the walk around the lake whilst on holiday in Cornwall over easter. It was absolutely stunning! The views were amazing!! However I'm not sure I would take any children under three unless they are in a carrier as it's a long walk. It was so quiet and peaceful.

A last minute change of direction lead us here. A childhood memory that we revisited with our children. Such a wonderful place. So peaceful, clean, lots that you're able to do although we had a picnic and went on a stroll and on through a deep dark wood... Had a super time

Went to this lake today as it has a circular walk. Website said it was accesible to wheelchairs. It is not suitable at all. Steep inclines and declines covered in loose stones. This made the ride very uncomfortable for my wife in her wheelchair. We only managed about 200 yards before we gave up and returned to car. I know... More

We are never disappointed. Such a lovely peaceful setting, and the three mile, walk or cycle, round the lake, which is mainly flat, is great to do in any season. Other activities include, canoeing, kayaking, wake boarding 👀 paddle-boarding, fishing and camping ⛺️with shower facilities. The excellent cafe close to the lake, serves nutritious homemade goodies. There are two enclosed... More

I took my partner here as a surprise for his 40th Birthday, we took part in the segway and kayak, the segway was great fun, and it takes you all the way around the circular path. Kayaking was good fun to, as you are just left to go out on your own, so was great. It can be quite tiring,... More

Nice for a walk but put off by parking fee , its owned/ run by South West Lakes Trust who which in turn is run by South West Water by way of financing. South West Water rob everyone in the South West as it is without this.

Wonderful location with a path around the expansive lake. Water sports are the order of the day but there are some little niches here and there perfect for a picnic. Plenty of parking, peaceful and a cafe for the less adventurous.

Where do I start. Car parking: Arrived to find the overflow car park closed and the main car park full. Had to wait nearly 15 minutes for a car to leave before I was able to park; a great start! Toilets: Three toilets on site, two of which were closed, including the disabled toilets. Queue of nine people outside the... More
