This old slate mine is well worth a visit. We visited at a quiet time which meant that we could take our time on a self-directed tour. All major features are well explained on sign boards along the way. Overall, an interesting expose of a slice of Cornish history.

The Caves we're amazing to see and well worth the money. Little plaques to read make it a very interesting experience. There is also an enchanted forest where you can take a nice walk around a circular path which was also really good!

Great value for money. The owner is so friendly. Not over commercialised. Nice little shop. Great woodland walk. Free parking and free toilets which is unusual in cornwall. Would go again.

The title of this attraction is a little misleading as you visit a former slate mine. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. In the first mined area the owners hold weddings and concerts. There is an underground lake that has a blue/green colour which is rather beautiful. Some of the information could be better presented and some of the... More

Came across this quirky place after ambling around the lanes coming back from Tragopan... Wasn't expecting it to be OPEN in December but it was! A very helpful lady greeted us and showed us around - we took the woodland walk first as we had a dog - they can't go in the mines. The walk was delightful, full of... More

If you get a chance to experience a band in these caves, jump at the chance! Acoustics are excellent, and more than adequate parking.

We dropped in to the caves for a quick look around, very interesting experience, and we took some cool photos. A lovely and friendly service at the main desk.

This is an old slate quarry, which doubles as a concert and wedding venue as well as a tourist attraction. We were given w/ a hard hat, a torch and a map of the caverns and in we went - we took our time and took in the concert venue as well as the underground lake which looked fantastic, clear... More

We had a voucher from Groupon which meant that myself, my husband and two children entered the caverns for £6.50 - a bargain. My son loved the underground 'lakes' and he was particularly fond of the fairy woodland walk - spotting dragons and fairies hiding in the glen.
