Luckily we are National Trust members if we had paid to visit the gardens I would have been very disappointed. We've visited many gardens & this is nothing exceptional in fact I don't think they should offer the garden as a separate attraction there really...More

Having visited this property over a decade ago before the National Trust bought it, I revisited again today in the firm expectation of being able to enjoy the house and grounds. What a let down though to find that although the NT now own it...More

Visited here (knowing the house wasn't open) as staying in Cornwall and we are members. It is probably the most dog friendly NT property we've ever visited - even inside the cafe! Why can't all properties allow well behaved dogs on short leads in their...More

The NT are doing a great job with properties like this, where you are able to see bare bones architecture. Fascinating gardens and parkland, a forest of bluebells when we visited. Good cakes in the tea-room too!

very dissapointing as too many modern add ons spoilt the history. Godolphin would have been better to leave it a ruin .

This is not your typical NT big house, immaculate gardens & cafe place. Instead, this is a smaller & gentler place to soak in what the place had been and now is. The 15 minute video is a must as it explains the hows &...More
