Dog-lovers heaven. Well-behaved hounds galore. Beach area is clean and well-managed. So glad we were staying in a cottage nearby though, as the car-park filled up early, even outside of school-holiday times.

Crantock is reached via a steep climb up from the National Trust car park through the sand but is well worth it. When the tide is out it is just huge and beautiful to walk on or just sit and watch the mesmerising waves. We...More

Wow, what a beautiful beach hidden away. About 15 minutes drive from Hendra Holiday Park. There is a national trust car park which is free to members. A toilet block in the car park and looks like a surf school as well. A few mins...More

This beach is one of the best in this area. With big sand dunes and a river coming down the estuary to the beach it’s got everything to keep the kids happy.

We picked a lousy day to go to the beach as it was cold and wet but to be honest, once we got into the sea you didn’t notice. Parking is easy enough (it’s free as a national trust member) and there are lifeguards present...More

Beautiful sand beach, absolutely massive, we arrived when the tide was out and it took us around 15 minutes from stepping foot on the beach to reach the waters edge. Perfectly clean, no noise other than the ocean and the breeze, toilets in main car...More

Don't believe it is anywhere as far as two miles suggested above; certainly to the old village. Suggest checking on Google map. Certainly done this walk with prams and loads of beach toys on many occasions. As a family, we... More
