Very interesting, so much unusual stuff

Love going here, it has expanded much more recently. So much stuff gets donated there is usually something new.

We visited the museum on a very foggy day but really enjoyed the experience. This museum exists because of the hard work of the staff. It is interesting and educational there are so many personal items donated by people as well as military equipment. The new aircraft hangar was open and new exhibition is planned. We wondered if Lottery funding... More

Interesting use and restoration of old buildings at the edge of a disused RAF station/farm. There is an eclectic mix of memorabilia and artefacts from 20th century warfare. The commentary as you go round is informative with a hint of lighthearted comedy. The owners & volunteers are obviously passionate about the history and restoration. There is also an exhibit relating... More

We have meant to visit for a few years now as we go down to Cornwall twice a year. Finally did it this year after driving past on the unique road/airfield many times. It was much more than we were expecting and packed with information and goodies. The story behind it is fascinating and you really have to watch the... More

We visited here, thinking it would be small and perhaps not too much to see but how wrong we were. Yes it is contained within fairly small grounds but every area is stuffed full of interesting memorabilia with so much to see and read about, we lost track of time. So much effort has been put into this museum that... More

Just visited this brilliant place. It seems we have saved the best to last. The place is as others have said 'a little gem'. The history of this little place is amazing and not really known about. The staff were great and Steve met us with a nice salute on entry. If you visit this place and we recommend it,... More

The first thing you'll find at this place is that wherever you are, Steve isn't far :-) He and his wife are the founders, labourers and managers of the whole thing. This interactive museum is brought to life as you wander round both through Steve's commentaries and his actual voice as he catches up with visitors on their way round... More

Absolute bargain of a place - the most friendly and obliging staff, a real insight into history and a great achievement to the owners - so important all this memorabilia is kept and it has all been displayed in the most perfect of WW ways. It really is like stepping back in time and am impressive collection.

Visited the museum today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Many things to see. Ideal for schools wishing for their pupils to gain knowledge on WW1, WW2. Richard & Lyn from Taunton
