Ok to visit if you are passing by but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again. It doesn't feel like it has much character.

Found Osterley by accident while waiting for delayed arrival at Heathrow. Just 10 minutes from the hotel on Bath Road it was a lovely way to walk off breakfast.... It was a shame house was shut but lovely grounds to wander in. Looking forward to returning next year when the weather is warmer and the house is open

We came here yesterday for a long walk round the park in the autumn sunshine, unfortunately the house was shut. This is a lovely park and was almost deserted midweek. Check winter opening hours for the house before you go!

Visited during the half term, was a bit unsure about it but we really enjoyed it. The kids loved pumpkin carving. I really liked that you could buy hot drinks etc there, it would be much better if portable toilets had been there as it's quite a walk back with kids and once you've left they'd you generally don't want... Very beautiful park. Good for long walks, sports activities and picnics. There is farmer market so you could buy fresh and organic vegetables. There is some beautiful architecture too.

I'm a scardey cat but braved booking the After Dark Tour on 31/10 for me and my boyfriend for a birthday outing. Of course I screamed and jumped a couple of times but the way in which the young lady gave us history through storytelling was brilliant. Even in dim lights and darkness, this house is magnificent. Try and get... More

Attended an "After dark" tour on Halloween night which was fantastic. Our lovely young lady guide was amazing, just the right level of drama and intrigue. The supporting members of the team also helped add to the atmosphere. Loved that you got to tour the house in semi darkness with votive lights providing just enough light not to spoil the... More

The gardens have some wonderful colour at the moment. The ornamental vegetable beds are near their peak and the cut flower garden is beautiful. There are splashes of colour in many places however the small Sassafras in the formal gardens is just about the most spectacular single autumn colour tree I have ever seen - it is a beacon!!

We walk our dog a lot here. It does have white noise from the M4, but is an oasis in an otherwise fairly built up area, we love it. We walk the dog, let her jump around in the water and then we stroll over to the cafe and have tea and sometimes a cake. I have bought quite a... More
