the park offers respite from the urban drudgery...also home to a variety of mature trees and bird/bat life, the sound of children playing and people walking their dogs compensates for the heavy road activity and growing housing volume

Amazing! There is seating and a path in the middle of this park where you can sit and reflect on the day listening to nature. A gem in the middle of the town. Well worth a visit to unwind.

The park is a good area for a walk with the dog set just off the Dodworth Road cross roads on the main Barnsley/Manchester Road.

This is a nice little park for families with kids, dog walkers and just people out for a stroll in general. Well kept and a nice place to walk through.

I regularly walk my dog in Penny Pie Park. He's timid, and it's easy to 'get away' from other dogs which are not on leashes, as there are several entrances/exits. I do wish some people with larger dogs would control them better though. My dog...More
