A wonderful history of local events, trades and history. Everything from General de Gaulle being here in WWII to manufacture of pewter. The cafe was being fully used when we were there, as was the adjoining Jubilee Gardens.

I have walked past this place on many many occasions and not been in, I don't know why as we had a lovely morning here. Lots of little activities to entertain the kids and a lovely garden to walk around. We'll visit again.

You could walk past this and never know about it it, and that would be a shame. It is a real treasure, lots of information on the town and it's history, but more than that. As you walk down the centre each side is full...More
