Bought some lovely Christmas cards and very reasonable presents, had a look around the museum, enjoyable morning. The staff/volunteers were very friendly, a warm welcome, as we found everywhere in Malmesbury and surrounding area. Great holiday, thanks!

The Athelstan Museum is well curated and has very profund presentations of important events and artefacts. The rooms are probably too small for an optimal presentation of the comprehensive collections.

This museum, housed in the same building as the Malmesbury Town Hall, does a wonderful job of telling the rich story of this charming Cotswalds town. The quality of the exhibits is unusually high for a small town museum, and the volunteer staff are very...More

Next to Cross Hayes car park (£1.50 for 2 hours parking) the museum provides an insight into the history of Malmesbury, a hill top town, built on the site of an old Iron Age hill fort. Exhibitions change so worth visiting at intervals. Friendly staff...More
