Lovely place. They serve the best cheesy chips I have ever tasted. The fish (fish and chips meal) was good but no better than any other pub fish and chips. The pork belly was spectacular and desserts (brownie and treacle tart) were also a delight!

Nicest Chips we have ever had (cooked at least 3 times we think!) and all of the food tasted fresh and was cooked to perfection. Friendly fast service and really nice atmosphere. Bars and Loos were all very clean

Second visit to this pub. Ordered steak, never inexpensive and not so here but the quality was good as were the accompaniments. Rather dated interior but on a bright sunny evening this did not detract from the overall experience. I would revisit.

Lack of ambience and service. Pub has such potential but feels unloved which is confirmed by lack of local clientele. A real shame for a historic building in a lovely village.

The food is quite common, nothing refined. Even the fish and chips was not very good. The staff is nice and the atmosphere was cosy.
