What a fantastic piece of engineering. Caen Hill locks are wonderful to walk along and watch the narrow boats travel up and down through this wonderful lock system.

After a lovely walk up the flight of locks it was really nice to have a cup of coffee and teacake at the very busy cafe. Set in the old lock keepers cottage it has a very small indoor seating area but plenty of spaces...More

A pretty view and good coffee makes this a great place to relax for a short stop after travelling through the cotswolds.

The longest continuous flight of locks in Britain it has to be worth a visit. It must be a real challenge for modern canal boat users...I wonder if they get a certificate for completing it? The Kennet and Avon canal is a very popular waterway...More

When you finally get to the car park after at least 30 speed by ps it,s great, cross the locks cafe at top nice stroll down the dispatch and back up again, then back down the road over the speed bumps again.£1 to park pay...More

I love walking along the canal and the views are outstanding. Do visit, it's well worth a trip. A great place for walking out with family and friends and, I think it's romantic for couples too.
