Well, I think we went on the coldest day of the year. It had snowed the night before and it was a high of 27 that day. So it wasn't a great day to be outside. Staff was very nice. Would be a nice adventure if it was warmer. There were a lot of trees so you could keep cool... More

We visited during the Community Days in January when it was free for the 28-29 weekend. It was quite busy with many families with kids. I think everyone was there to escape winter cabin fever. Still, the staff kept people moving, answered questions, gave directions, and generally made the day work. We were able to use handicapped parking, but general... More

NOT your typical zoo but yet another fun thing to do with young kids while in Hersey. It closes early so be sure to get there early. Also free admission tickets (as well as other tickets) are available if you are staying at a Hersey resort/hotel.

I went there two weeks ago with my daughter and her two boys ages 7 mos. and 17 mos. and we enjoyed ourselves so much. Wasn't real busy but the animals were out and about. We actually got to witness a wolf chase a squirrel. The wolf didn't get him. We just a really nice place to let the 17... More

It's a small zoo, included in your Hershey Park admission. There is a decent variety of animals, a very small play area (slide). There are displays at various times of the day were zoo keepers will talk about a particular animal and do a Q & A session.

My family (all adults) and significant other visited during the off season. There was few other people there and it was like we had the zoo to ourselves. The exhibits were all very clean and the signage was informative. We saw all the animals they have. The giant snapping turtle and elk were our favorite. The zoo was very easy... More

Very limited in size and scope, but still enjoyed seeing what they have. The cats were beautiful. A few protesters in front of the place. I understand their point. I don't like animals locked up in small enclosures for their entire lives! It's like prison for some serious crime they committed, but they are innocent. Certainly don't believe animals equal... This isn't your regular lions, tigers and monkey's kind of zoo. I was really confused by another review saying they didn't have a lot of traditional animals...This is all of the animals you will find in the Park's surroundings here in Northern America (thus the name). There is an indoor section then you can venture outdoors to walk the path... More

ZooAmerican is a very diverse zoo. The manor in which this Zoo is set up is amazing. This Zoo has two building which house many species that you might not expect to see. Next, there is an outside portion. The layout is not too much of a challenge for those who do not want to walk a lot. There is... More
