What makes this museum different than the others is that it doesn't take a side . .. it tells the story from both perspectives. Amazing collection of unique items. Clean, easy to navigate building with spectacular city view.

Very disappointed. This tour isn't deaf / hard of hearing friendly. None of the TVs or films are closed captioned from what I was told at the customer service. I told her that why should I pay full price if I do not get 100%...More

Spent 2.5 hours here, could've stayed for double that! Tons to see and read. A good mix of photos, artifacts, video, sound and models keep the exhibit interesting. Highly recommended, the price of admission is well worth it!

We visited several years ago. Displays and artifacts are good for achieving a better understanding of the Civil War.

This great museum, located in the heart of the State Capitol of Pennsylvania, overlooks the greater Harrisburg area from the top of Reservoir Park. You will find a well-developed presentation of both the Union and Confederate perspectives of the Civil War. The exhibits are enhanced...More

The best place to start would be to contact the US Army Heritage & Education Center in Carlisle, PA and check one of their reference bibliographies on the 21st PA Calvary. I hope this helps!
