Relaxing ride on an original paddle-wheel vessel

we bought our tickets through Groupon, so the price was right. The disappointment came when we were on the boat, the "wedding planner" sat beside our table with an engaged couple, and the planner spoke so loudly throughout the whole ride, we could not hear the tour guide on the speakers. So basically we took a boat ride. The wine... More

While visiting with us from the west coast, we took my brother and his wife on a ride on the Pride. It was peaceful and relaxing. While cruising, we listened to an informative talk about the history of the area, including the local Indian population and prior shipping activities on the river. On-board, there are drinks and snacks available for... More

Nice way to spend an enjoyable afternoon. Recorded narration occasionally augmented by the captain. Cruise runs about 50 minutes.

This was a very informative tour with very friendly boat staff willing to take pictures of couples if needed. The recording covered facts about the river itself as well as history about the city. Great Fun!!

This was a nice tour. We were hoping for a relaxing tour, but there just happened to be a daycare on the tour with us. It was a little hectic with kids running all over the place, but otherwise we enjoyed.

We went on the wine & cheese boating excursion. While it was very hot out, they have an all air conditioned 1st floor. Received four huge sample glasses of wines from Ruffino in Italy. Plus huge amounts of different cheeses, crackers and grapes. Boat was full, had a large party for a Birthday party! The only drawback, was waiting to... More

We were going to be passing through Harrisburg in our family vacation so I bought a groupon deal for this riverboat tour. It was a very enjoyable 45 min excursion with some interesting history of the boat and river narrated during the tour. The upper deck was nice for views and the interior lower deck was well air conditioned and... More

My husband and I took our two teenage boys for a 45 min ride. The weather was perfect, staff was friendly, there was a narration during the tour over the loudspeakers and music, refreshments below deck, watching the paddle was really cool!

We went on the public 45 minute tour today. We called the night before and were told the number of tickets sold at that time for the following day. It gave us an idea of whether we should purchase the tickets in advance or wait until we arrived. The person on the phone was very helpful and personable. She said... More

It is always a goal to do those things that were once common in America but are now considered unique and unusual. The Pride is a perfect example. It's a bargain and although it is a short ride there is still plenty of time to enjoy Harrisburg's skyline as well as the many bridges leading into the city. We enjoyed... More
