I no longer live in Erie but I grew up several miles from Presque Isle. Most people call it "The Peninsula" or "The beach". When I'm in Erie especially in the summer I love to go to the beach. There are great fishing spots, swimming areas, food, bike and walking trail and large covered and open picnic areas. If you... More

Presque Isle State Park is worth the trip anytime of year. It is free and it is beautiful! Hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, water sports, fun runs, beaches and bay, fields and forest. It's a birdwatching paradise as well. In winter, there's cross country skiing, ice fishing and just watching the beauty of winter. Plenty of activities for any taste. Just driving... More

This is a beautiful park. The roads and trails are fantastic. This was a very memorable visit! We arrived before sunset and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery as the sun set. Not to miss!

Great place for walking, jogging, biking and taking in the view of the lake, bay and isle. Year round fun, but winter is COLD.

Presque Isle State Park is historic and a beautiful place to visit. When I lived in Erie, we would go there for a day of fun with the family. There are beaches, picnic shelters, water vehicle rentals, etc.

Great walking, hiking & scenery! Sets the mood for the area. Afterwards, we enjoyed a stop for soup at Cocos which we learned was soon to be closing!

Presque Isle is one of the greatest wonders of Pennsylvania. The park is very well kept and a great place to take the whole family. If you didn't know better you would think you were at the ocean when at one of the many beaches. It makes me proud of our state to have such a wonderful place to go.

We walked the beach in blustery cold conditions but it was gorgeous. White caps on the water made it look like he ocean. Lighthouse was closed but we walked near it....quaint and lovely building.
