I was one of the Kirkland Village Visitors and very much .the visit
Jan. 2020
Our group was divided as there were two docents waiting for us. The visit was most enjoyable as well as entertaining as our guide explained much of what was exhibited and there were many long as well as interesting comments posted with each exhibit.
The museum is not very large, but is most interesting and tells a great deal about the early days of the city and its residents. I hope to return and see more at leisure.

Northampton Co history

My Aunt purchased her wedding dress at Sigal's dress shop in the 50s and the location is now the Northampton County museum of local history. THe displays of Indian history are well done and the current display of 1920s clothing is beautiful. There is also a genealogy room available by appointment only.

Nice little museum

We went to see what we thought was an exhibit, but due to poor information on the internet it turned our to be a lecture that had started by the time we got there. The staff were totally no help as they did not seem to know what was going on in their own museum. We went to see the 20s exhibit. I was disappointed because the lighting was very poor, if you stood in front of some artifacts, your own shadow made it so that you couldn't see. The labeling for the artifacts was poorly placed and the print was very small. It seemed non-professional.

Surprising. Excellent.

This museum is part of the "new" Easton (not what I recall from my college days of the early 70's). It provides an excellent history of this important location dating back to the Lenape Indians. We were treated to a superb docent tour and could have easily spent another hour after our 75 minute guided exploration. We were surprised by the number of truly rare and treasured artifacts (letters and treaties , in particular). The Sigal is a must for history junkies!

A fascinating place with a great variety of sf subjects local history, geology, events and changing exhibits such as fashions of the 20’s. Also a source for those researchers of family genealogy with local ties.

Rich local history well presented

This is a first class local museum. The area has a rich history beginning with the Native Americans, continuing through colonial times and on up to the present. The museum is relatively new and has great exhibits. Interesting for the whole family, including hands on activities for the youngsters.

I came here after the VIA Marathon to walk in the air conditioning and learn about the area. The permeant displays were fabulous with an appropriate amount of information. The staff was kind and courteous, taking time to answer my questions and show me specifics. I especially loves the roaring 20's exhibit. I would do this again! If you like learning about the local area or are a supporter of historical societies this is absolutely for you. I was done in about an hour. I parked nearby in a parking garage.

This is a lovely place to visit. I enjoyed the exhibition of early 20th century women's clothing as well as the in-depth lessons about the Lenape indians. Delightful way to spend a few hours in Easton.
