Thank you, Trip Advisor. The calendar said spring but the snow on the ground told a beautiful but different story. My grandson had some hot chocolate and we did an early morning stroll. Beautiful

Went to the park to find the largest last stand of virgin timber east of the Mississippi River. It was amazing to see the white pine and hemlock trees.

We have camped, stayed in a cabin, picnicked, hiked, biked, tubed, canoed, kayaked at Cook Forest State Park. It has been wonderful and we have had great experiences. Sometimes, it rains and then we stay indoors and watch the fireplace burn!!!

Hiking canoeing fine dining all there it is still as magical a place as it was in the 1970s. Just hanging out by the river having an ice cream was fun.

Excellent hiking trails. Some original growth forest. Kids fishing area. Scenic river. Our family stayed in a cabin near the river for a week. We had a great time.
