Our family really enjoyed our tour of the old jail and our guide Ryan was terrific. He was extremely patient and took his time answering all of our questions (even those of an excited 8 year old). My children aged 11 and 8 were completely engrossed in what they were learning and were constantly asking about everything that they saw... More

This is really a unique place, the atmosphere of an old jail and a museum. It gives one a good look and how old prisons were operated and the way that prisoners were kept in those by gone days. The huge thick doors and the steel doors of the cells and the feel of what it was like to be... More

My husband and I visited on a getaway weekend. We had read other trip advisor reviews and it piqued our curiosity. What an amazing, informative and interesting tour. We had Tony as our guide. Whatever he does in his nonvolunteer life, he has missed his calling. Our private ( just because we were the only ones there at the time)... More

I went today with a group of 4 adults and 2 young children to tour the Old Jail building in Chambersburg, PA Neil Rensch was our tour guide and gave a wonderful tour of the facility with a lot of local history added. While the Jail and its history is fascinating, the added history of the Underground Railroad of escaping... More

This is our second year coming to this event! We have young children 7 and 10 and the actors are great including them. Love that you can ask questions and try to figure out who did it. Our kids think it's so cool going through the Jail and seeing how it was back than. When other groups got behind our... More

Looked for something to do while waiting for our hotel room. Found this only 2 miles from our hotel. My husband says it was the best $5 he has ever spent. It dates way back and has so much history and stories. The woman giving the tour was very knowledgeable and obviously very proud of the building and its history.... More

This tour was excellent. Our guide knew the history and told other stories. He was very knowledgeable about the area. He gave us tips on what to see and where to eat in Chambersburg.

We had a great time exploring the Old Jail and learned a lot of history while there. It was interesting to see that Alcatraz jail in San Francisco was built similar to this old jail. Having been to both it was neat to see.

Very interesting, saw all levels with a personal tour! I was at the college for a conference and had a few hours break. Stopped because it was#1 on trip advisor. Good tour, well worth the stop if you are in the area.

Wonderful private tour by a very knowledgeable young man, whose name escapes me. We especially enjoyed the prisoners notes made on the cell walls.
