We toured half the museum today and will finish it tomorrow. Wonderful audio presentation of the paintings and artwork of the Wyeth family. N.C. Wyeth artwork is fabulous and the children's works are very enjoyable to see. Presentation is world class. Free parking. A must visit for art lovers. Very nice gift shop where you can purchase a signed print... More

The art collection, the building, the setting, and the excellent gift shop book selection make this one of the best museums in the country, a real treasure. It's one of the few places left that feels truly regional: where you're getting a taste of the place and its uniqueness. The Wyeth family history and their exclusively Chadds Ford/Maine world are... Often in an art exhibit you will see just a few paintings you will recognize. Here, as the Wyeths have been such an important part of our lives for three generations there were many, loved seeing the originals of N.C.'s works that I remember from my readings in my youth. There was an exhibit that involved Homer and Hooper but... More

We took the NC Wyeth tour of his home and studio and it was great! Learned so much about this artist and his family and their work. We took the tour first thing in the morning, so viewing the works in the art museum after the tour meant so much more. We would definitely return to do the Andrew Wyeth... More

We are frequent visitors to Longwood Gardens, and so decided to go down the road 7 miles to Chadd's Ford and see what's what. This museum is a must. A collection of the Wyeth Family artists, and also many other notable and wonderful American artists, you are simply blown away by one masterpiece after another. The building itself is extremely... This is a great spot to take out of town guests. The works of local artist, Andrew Wyeth, are worth sharing. The building is beautiful and so is the setting. I recommend the trail walk to the Chadd House which is also a nice feature.

I visited this temporary exhibit yesterday with my spouse. On one hand, I was disappointed that it contained only a few paintings by Edward Hopper. On the other hand, there were plenty more paintings by various artists to take in. My personal favorites were the cityscapes from the early 20th century. Some of them truly captured a feeling of how... More

My husband had business in the Chadds Ford area, and asked if I wanted to come along and visit the Brandywine River Museum while he worked. I gladly jumped at the chance having visited here many times over the years. It's a lovely museum for fans of the Wyeth family of artists. But the special exhibition From Homer to Hopper,... More

Lovely setting along the Brandywine. I am not a big Wyeth fan but I do enjoy good art and they have good art. I took a side tour to N C Wyeth's home and studio nearby. That was well worth the time. I have a new appreciation of all of the Wyeths.
