Nicely restored 1939 Art Deco movie house now shows films that are worth seeing: independent, foreign and some mainstream. $60 pass of ten tickets include free popcorn. Theater also includes local and traveling theatrical and musical talent.

We have attended many events in the Theater and we are so happy that Carlisle has done the hard work to save this classic old movie theater. It is now a performing arts theater with a stage for live presentations such as bands along with...More

This is a grand old movie theatre just off the main square in Carlisle. Balcony, old comfortable seats, and very often first run movies. Buttered popcorn, soda, and candy at the entrance stand. A public parking lot is in the back but you must work...More

One of my favorite spots for a concert. Have gone to multiple country concerts there, they have great staff, no overly crowded.

Visited theater through film program hosted by Synergy. Was surprised how large theater vestibule and seating was for a downtown venue.

I worked at the Carlisle Theatre from 1968 to 1972, and have many fond memories. Nowadays I don 't get there often, but admire the efforts of everyone involved in maintaining this art deco original. Unfortunately, It is essentially a big empty room, and the...More

Went to see a performance of "Anything Goes" at this lovely little community theatre. They have some performers who are very good, with wonderful voices & good dancing skills. They put on a very solid performance, and the venue is an old theatre setting, which...More

Carlisle Theatre is an old fashioned theatre with a balcony and exceptional views, no matter where you sit. The price is right for movies or entertainment.
